Thanks for this tutorial. I followed step by step and I was able to draw the component. But on the Y axes I used (-75) to get it right. Thanks again

thank you for the wonderful tutorial. But I am unable to see the UCS icon in view tab , I directly gave command ucsicon. can you please tell why i am not able to get the ucsicons as in your video in viewtab.

I'm trying to draw the triangle from the left side.
Anytime I define the coordinates 25,16 the point is marked at the top of the drawing

I did what I could but in realistic view the rectangular shape is not visible
never mind: problem solved after updating AutoCAD
Thank you for these these tutorials: they are of great help.

instead you could have show offsets or solid edge thats easy to understand but the things you shown are very advanced. can I learn few more regarding those basics co-ordinate things.. any videos you have?

You will get lot of videos to learn coordinate geometry from the youtube ...Refer my Introduction to 3d videos in my youtube channel ua-cam.com/users/Sabeercad

+Khaja Zaffer hum this video is not advanced, but rater extremely basic... and is showing you some of the methods that can be used... it seems to me that the goal here is to get you in a position where you are comfortable with the interface...

where can I get advanced videos? do advanced ones are simillar to this or they are too tough>? i want a glimpse of industrial auto cad project where they could work in company

waw.... while I find the tutorial interesting,.... and I thank you, for adding your voice... I find the method used to create the parts extremely slow... in fact I believe that the program most be able to bring techniques that are more user friendly... the method shown here is the one I used to learn with, some 20years ago... I have found that using osnap and line segments, plus a few other ways... bring the part to completion in a shorter time, with less brain work... I would like to see you also showing us the fast methods, as you seem more use to this interface... I bet that you also use the fast methods...

Thanks for your comment . 20 years back the approach was different . For example , to create views instantly now we can use VIEWCUBE which was not there at that point of time .

+sabeercad yep, well I currently use rhino5 as my main design software, yet many times go looking around for other programs to do the fillets and other things that tend to fail in rhino... perhaps its me, being so used to the program, but I do believe that I do bring the parts in less time/steps... yet I may be wrong... and it may be a mental illusion... I do skip relocating the origin of the construction plain... I rater move/rotate the part.... there are some other tools that I also would prefer not using... at the end, I do believe to be able to bring the parts to completion in shorter times... so as time is so precious and life is short... I suggest to always show the shortest path to accomplish the task... and never use the long path... some time ago I did a rhino video tutorial showing how to use a ton of its tools... yet never put these online for others... I do believe to have made something no one else has done to date... yet... oddly enough I do not suggest ppl to learn rhino... I ratter have them learning NX, Catia or solidworks

+Robert Ostman Thats a good thought . We all are in the process of exploring "is there any better way" to accomplish a task . I will surly share such tips in Autocad ...Best wishes

Quesntion: When I tried to locate the next point by typing the coordinates, AutoCAD somehow recognize the X coordinate as the length of the line and there is nothing I could do to change it. Can anyone enlighten me on how to solve this problem?

Because youre in relative coordinate system, you must fix it to absolute coordinete system. Here is link: knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Switching-between-absolute-and-relative-coordinates-for-pointer-input.html

    • @sabeercad

UCS will act construction plan in AutoCad . whenever you want to construct a profile on a face you have to align the UCS on that face then you may give modelling commands like Extrude, Revolve etc.

i dont know how you did all these but you have lots of error
cant type co-ordinates the way you typed, I actually did but those 25,16 is literally 25,-16.. lots of error..
