Thank you very much! I'm watching this 4 years later and things have gotten cheap or moderately scroungable. Thank you for the roadmap. Started learning Python. Science should work for me too.
Haha... as poor, inner-city Detroit kid who started with scraps (and curiously sticking a paperclip in an outlet), I feel your story right in my soul - Hacking stuff and improvising is my favorite! The courses look awesome!
Thank you sir! Having that done in the electronics and or robotics my entire family and everyone about things from crazy ripping apart an old TV and organizing /cataloging every component. Video such as yours make me feel like I'm not a nutcase rather someone who is destined to prototype the next generation of common household items people take for granted. Thank you again!
Ok, I've been digging deep in this stuff for a bit. Have bought, many little doodads (yeah, i'm old too, love that word) and digging in. I have to say, NICE!!! I will be signing up for your classes! Love your approach, history, delivery, content, THANK YOU! Looking forward to digging into your courses as well as anything else you do! I'm a 25 year veteran of IT and I'm jazzed about adding electrical/electronics/robotics/etc... to my knowledge bank! KEEP IT COMING! THANKS! (so far best teacher I've encountered and yeah, that's totally a personal thing but definitely my style!)
Your "How to start in Robotics and FAQ" helped me, I hope, because the learning curve for all-out-Robotics seems a lot more than the learning curve for just robotic programming only (e.g. Rasberry Pi). If I were 10 years younger, I'd probably go down the straight Robotics pathway.
Thank you for inspiration! I am an old guy with a great idea but need all the hardware software prototyping knowledge to make it. I am fortunate to have cad and learning fusion 360...I will be looking at your course.
I like that. I know what I want. Health care robot, agricultural robots, coach robot, building robots. That is why I wanna learn this. I am starting first with arduino although I don't have those e legoo
this is a different approach to update people on robotics... even cheap stuff takes some doing to get ready to do something basic with free software and acquire a pc... thanks..:)
My problem is that robotics and neural networks sound awesome to learn and looks like it will take me a couple years to grasp. But then, what job can I actually get after? That is a huge time commitment to just learn things and no income.
@@samo6401 In short, I want to create an AI that runs an entire money making empire. What that means is that it understands the business paperwork including taxes, but then also knows how to write books, make music, create movies, set up different companies to do each, and post to social media. The AI runs the entire empire and understands how to invest, maximize profits, and grow the business.
so five minutes in and I realize I need a even more simple explanation of robotics. I love legos and building things but this aspect of creating is lost on me.
I thought these sessions would be free of cost because you said multiple times that the video is for those students who can't afford expensive hardware. But then you are charging 50$(For Each Category) which means 250$ for the complete course. I think this is too much for a student as they have limited source of income. I know that creating these sessions cost a lot but I think you can easily recover that cost if you upload these sessions on UA-cam (For Free). I think you might get profit because there are not much this type of Well Structured Robotics Tutorial on UA-cam. If this is not feasible for you then I would suggest you to upload these sessions on some popular platform such as Coursera because a person won't spend much on a unknown site and and if these course are on some popular platform then it would provide a sense of assurance to the customer. Hope you won't take it in negative way😃.
Man thank you for helping me find out where I should start.

Ive been scrapping parts for some weeks now, i work at a computer repair shop and alot of printers and computers get scrapped here its heaven!

Holy crap when I saw what you can make i got so happy and inspired to start my self
i had no idea Louis CK was so into robotics. respect
but seriously, a great video

I joined the group a couple hours ago and then found this video 😂 guess that means I should follow you
Great introduction and I love the enthusiasm for the learner. Thank you.
Very cool Ian! We look forward to it.
No actually very edifying. Really cleared the air for me. Thanks
thank you so much for those valuable information as an amateur you made me more excited to learn robotics

Thanks for the video!
Amazing.
This is amazing I’m one of those people who can’t buy anything online cuz no shipment 😢 you gave me hope than you sir

Thank you for this :3
Excellent advice, and video. 👍👍👍 +1 Subscribed!
This is the 1st video I have seen with 0 dislikes..... (Don't spoil it pl...)
This post is dated. What is the dislike button?

Wow very good channel new sub
I want to start doing robotics but I am scared of getting electrocuted. Any advice for me?
would be awesome if these courses were free
Hello, I want to learn through your courses but How much money it will take for both course and kits ??
Do you have courses in udemy ?
Any chance that sale still going on?
Can I learn Robotic
Will all your courses be on Udemy?
I'm currently doing my 12th. What should I take next to turn into robotics?
My problem is that robotics and neural networks sound awesome to learn and looks like it will take me a couple years to grasp. But then, what job can I actually get after? That is a huge time commitment to just learn things and no income.
There's a ton of jobs stemming from robotics, what exactly do you want to do

You don’t reply to messages both in jet pack, your email 📧 and Udemy. I wonder 💭 if you are out of this universe or planet 🌎
Which college did you study Centennial?
Canadore. Got accepted to Centennial but I dunno why, Canadore was the one I wanted for some reason.

Now , 3 years latter he is a bit outdated! AI ugh easier today with NIVIDIA JasonNano
Robotics is dangerous for our humanity so, please don't make such things which is equal to a nuclear missiles.
Weirdo
