    Hey guys. I hope you all are doing good. This video is the first video of the "Lets Talk about Robots" series inspired from all of your questions over Instagram and UA-cam. Feel free to post more any feedback or suggestions. I hope it will be useful. Tried to keep it very simple in the beginning. Enjoy :-)
    What makes a Robot a "ROBOT" . It should have following three elements
    1. PERCEPTION - How robots perceives the world around then with the help of Sensors, Cameras, Lidar, Radar
    2. DECISION MAKING - Brains of the Robot - Makes the decisions based on the data collected from "PERCEPTION" stage
    3. ACTION - Robots performs a task in the real world with the help of "PERCEPTION" & "DECISION MAKING"

    When one of my teachers suggested I get into bionics I was skeptical because I didn't think I could get into something like that. I was mainly exploring molecular biology or artistic careers so I was scared to get involved with something so unfamiliar and confusing. My curiosity has peaked and I am a high school junior who finally has a direction in life because of this video (corny but it's true). Thank you.

    Then secondly, I have a question, what's he relationship between robotics and embedded systems?

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots
      @LetsTalkWithRobots  Місяць тому

      Just the way perception in robotics deals with how a robot senses and interprets the world (using cameras, LiDAR, etc.). Embedded systems are the “brains” controlling a robot’s hardware, sensors, motors, and actuators through specialized microcontrollers or processors. Essentially, robotics integrates perception (the “eyes” and “intelligence”) with embedded systems (the “nervous system” and “muscles”).

    Hi Sir, ....! Thanks for the video!
    Can You do Tutorial Series on the subject CNC Motion Control basic 3 axis for wood carving purpose?
    Using any of the G-code streaming PLC available in market?
    1) How can We configure such a PLC to read G-codes from a USB Drive plugged in to it and send motion signals to Servo drives
    2)Example:- a basic Square pocket with X,Y and Z interpolation movements to carve that Pocket.
    3) The G-Codes from any CAM program like Autodesk Fusion360 with suitable post processor for the PLC
    4)How to Display the 3 axis on a HMI Screen with realtime DRO, Reading and stuff (Just Like Mach3 CNC GUI Screenset by Mr.Physics Anonymous)
    I know it is a vast area. But Can you Breakdown the Concepts in Configuring the Controller to Read G-Codes and execute Motion Commands to Servo packs .!
    Also Please consider Connecting and configuring Servo packs to the controller as well.
    I am very passionate in making my own 3 axis CNC Router with a Industrial grade PLC based Controller with Servo packs.
    Rather than hobby level stuff.
    Please consider Gcode Streaming atleast..!

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots
      @LetsTalkWithRobots  Місяць тому +1

      Any Python course will do, pick one you like and finish it in about a week. Then jump straight into projects with ROS, because practical coding experience is what really counts. Remember, Learning syntax is just the rules of a language (It is a tool). Understanding logic is the main thing in here. It is about breaking down problems, structuring solutions, and applying the right algorithms. Dont waste too much time watching too many tutorials. Learn the basics and get started with Robotics projects.

    Hey, thanks for enlightening my mind. I was wondering that, is it possible for us to pick all three aspects of this?
    Like, you said that I could pick any one of these three, but I can't help but to find myself amazed by all these so I was wondering if I could work on the perception, decision-making as well as the action part of robotics

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots

      Yes definitely you can learn all three aspects of it . I did it myself.
      As a matter of fact when you start doing project and assuming that you will be doing it in your own in early days. You will end working with
      1. Sensors - perception
      2. Software- decision
      3. Controlling motors - action
      I hope it helps

      You will be surprised how many times I have seen my mates who were not good at maths traditionally but did amazingly well when they got into robotics. Robotics is a filed where you get to apply mathematics and other fundamental concept in real world projects , everything starts to make sense. Not to mention it’s super cool so Just go for it. You will never know until you try it.

      You will learn eventually but you have to start somewhere. For example, I started mine as a hobby from playing with electronics and coding when I was 14 . As I moved towards more advanced projects, I had to gain knowledge about other things like modelling, mechanics, AI etc. Getting started is super important and your personal interests and projects will automatically guide you through it. At least that’s what happened to me.

    Hey i‘m studying mechanical engineering in Germany and I’m in my 3rd year. I‘m really into robotics but I’m not very good in electrics or programming. Where do you think I fit the best in the robotics branch?

      As you already said that you're doing mechanical engineering in germany which itself is very great and i think you've already come 50% ahead in this field and you can do more in robotics while studying mechanical engineering and you've got so many options to choose from you can also be a Robotics mechanical engineer if you want to!!

    • @LetsTalkWithRobots

      As a robotics engineer you start with an overview of all three but as you get more experienced, you end up getting specialised in one. This is not something which is fixed rule . Robotics engineers navigate among these three areas quite often throughout their carrier.
