Maths references:
It's math rock,
It's 3:14 long,
It's about a guy having a literal mental breakdown about whether to use sine or cosine,
The synth is playing a sine wave,
It's called mathletics,
On and on is a reference to how sine/cosine goes on forever and how homework takes forever,
It’s not math rock at all.

technically because it has math in it, but math rock is its own genre. i never got far in school but i know a cosine wave goes up and down repeatedly or infinitely.

Listening in 2019...hard to believe this is the same band, they’ve transformed so dramatically.

I got friends that are all fans of a wide range of the new stuff, but antidotes was their best period IMO, still fantastic musicians.

fair to say their videos have gotten cooler
but they are hardly generic. the way there music is outrageously metrical and the combinations of sound in a sort of canon is very unique....as is the style of guitar. In no way are they recycled indie music.
