I have a x30 175 i just had it rebuilt and its blowing oil out alot do you think the ballance shaft seal leaked ? Its way to much oil coming out the pipe
I need to change the piston, do I need to hone the cylinder too? When i measured the bore diameter, the different between average upper and lower end of the bore was 0.02mm.
Yes you have to measure the piston you are putting in and the bore with a bore dial gauge. Keep the clearance at 0.12 between the piston and the bore. Upper and the lower diameter difference is too high. Keep it less than 0.005
@@WheresmywingsRedBull First have a look and measure the cylinder and the new piston you are puting in, if the cylinder is in good nick and the clearance is good, just use a cheap flexible or ball hone to hone it up. If you have to bore it up further, you can use a flexible shaft hone or you can use more rigid hone. But rigid hones are bit expensive. We use both rigid and flexible hones for boring.

Hello! Is there a special recommendation for the Crankcase Seal lubricant?
Hello, use a good rubber grease.

Thanks for the response!@@lifewithus7198
What clearance do you recommend between piston and cylinder?
Keep the clearance between the piston and the bore 0.12 weather its a R or V piston
What hone do you use?
We use a adjustable six stone hone for boring and honing, but you can use a flexible shaft type hone or a ball hone.
@@lifewithus7198 what hone do you recommend for a IAME KA100 for doing a top end rebuild?

@@lifewithus7198 ok thanks, also what would be the ideal clearance?
