Yea that was the worst advice she could give her.
This girl is dependant on her partner for her self esteem, AND she also still regularly has sex with the man she broker up with.
So she's good enough to f*ck, but not good enough to be with? That doesn't sound like you know your "worth" if you're letting a man hit it for free, with no relationship.

I’m glad you guys brought that up, I’ve taught my daughter about stuff like this since she was about 6 and a boy liked her that she didn’t like… but today my daughter likes a boy, she’s 10, he don’t like her back, her friend goes “he probably likes boys” and I immediately stepped in & told my daughter “someone not liking you doesn’t mean there is something wrong with you, but it also don’t mean there’s something wrong with him…do you like every single boy in your class? No? So don’t ever expect everyone to like you. It’s okay. We aren’t for everyone. Everyone has different personalities, different interests, it’s OKAY if a boy don’t like you.. don’t ever put him down to make you feel better, because I know it hurts but your going to have a real issue if you wonder why he don’t like you and what’s wrong with you or him… not everyone will like you as a friend or more than that and it’s OKAY!!!!! Girls do that all the time, don’t be like them” and she was like I know mom, I’m just glad we are still friends.
I get people say that to try to make there friend feel better, and it’s okay as long as your joking and as long as your not teaching your kids that. You don’t say that.. even jokingly to your kids, because it sticks with them. Women get mad at men for doing the New York shit preach just did… but women do it even more… they just talk about it with eachother instead of shouting it at them.

‘I think she just knows her worth.’
No. If she knew her worth and her worth is high, she’d be less concerned with her relationships failing, and she’d be less clingy and outright obsessed. That comes from low self esteem. I’ve learned that the hard way. You refuse to let that relationship go, because you’re terrified that you won’t be able to find a new, healthier relationship.

I think it's more the opposite. It's clingy either way but women are more willing to accept clingy behavior from men they are attracted to.
Either way it's crossing boundaries when both guys do it, just cute ones can get away with it hints why they tend to have more problems with self control when they get rejected bc it's so rare. (Same for attractive women when they get rejected- they're not used to it)

In a perfect world, that’d make sense. But the majority people move off of their emotions & feelings. Not facts & logic. That’s why being good looking, for both men AND women, is an advantage.
But character, skills, & a good personality is everlasting for those who aren’t “naturally” good looking. (I think ugly is only if you don’t know how to or choose not to take care of yourself with hygiene & wardrobe.)

    • @treeve13
      @treeve13 2 роки тому +3

@@adrianchatman5734 But humans are that way in general. Like if you are attractive and in a relationship with someone who is "uglier" than you, it is more acceptable for you to cheat, mistreat them or even leave them for somebody more attractive, even if they were never a bad partner. Socially people give them the right to do that based on how they look. A guy who a girl is attracted to can blow up her phone, show up at her work with flowers, or invite himself to one of her events just to "spend time with her," and people see it as sweet and chivalrous, when it's oftentimes just obsessive behaviour.
But that applies to everything that people do. Prettier girls and more handsome men generally are able to get away with more things. I think that we all need to stop granting more value to humans based on looks entirely, but it's unlikely to ever happen.

@@kingdranosx The thing to remember is yes it is hard on you but obviously it's even harder on them so what I would say is that you want to make sure they have good support systems in place so that they have people around them to help them cope you can do this by encouraging them to spend time with their friends although you don't want to make it seem like you really want to hang out with her friends as she might think you fancy them. (I'm assuming you are a straight guy given your masculine username) You should also get her to spend a lot of time with her family and you might honestly have to suck it up if you don't like her family. Once you have made sure she has good support you will be in a good situation no matter what you decide to do. With her friends and family being more involved you won't always have to be the one to rescue her from her problems and if you end up ending the relationship then all these people will support her if she gets upset about it. If the person should be on meds as some people with depression do then make sure they are taking their meds and if they get defensive about it maybe start taking some vitamins and both of you can take them at the same time. If you've got someone who has been assaulted sexually in the past then it's probably worth letting them know that you are ready when they are but that you are willing to wait until that is the case. This was difficult for me because she was incapable of basically being alone with a man even when she picked me up she brought along 2 friends. If you break up with a person like that then that's one person who they were with that didn't try to do stuff to them without their consent so that's a positive even if they feel shit about it in the short term. Say it ain't so
    Your drug is a heartbreaker
    Say it ain't so
My love is a life taker

Turn the lights off, carry me home
Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill
The night will go on, my little windmill
It's completely understandable as they were both released around the same time, with the former being released in '94 and the later in '99, and (especially to those outside the scene) are very similar bands with similar sounds. Both songs and bands are great but I just wanted to clear that up.

Yo Aba when talking about Bipolar and mood swings, you’re most likely thinking of Borderline Personality Disorder not Bipolar disorder. BPD is more of the “You’re my favorite person in the world and I am so attached to you that if you left I’d hurt myself. I’d also watch you 24/7 for any inkling that you don’t like me and run with it as betrayal.” Whereas Bipolar is characterized by manic episodes followed by depressive episodes. A manic episode is different than how you were describing it. It’s more “I am invincible and practically a god amongst humans so let’s party” if that makes sense.

This is 100% spot on. I just commented on how it's borderline instead of bipolar, but I hadn't laid out the differences like you.
I also urge people to read up on Borderline, because a lot of people suffer from it, and you need to be able to recognise it.
Another tidbit, if you're dating someone with ANY diagnosis, know that there are mental health organisations out there that can help you learn how to deal with these. If you discuss this with your partner, they should react grateful and happy, as it means you're learning how to properly engage with them. If it leads to anger, dissapointment, or any negative reaction, I recommend you pack and run away, since that's the biggest red flag ever.

She’s highly toxic and has 0 self awareness, I was told things like “everyone would be happier if you killed yourself” and as a 15 year old at the time I didn’t realize the degree of how disgusting that is. All the memories and current shit I’ve endured from her hit me like a ton of bricks one day, so I decided I’m done with her. I’m living with my other sister who is still in contact. I’m being guilted for not talking to her and being told that I’m being abusive for cutting her off. I hear through the grapevine that my sister thinks the way I’m “treating” her by not talking to her is the same way people treated my brother right before he took his own life. The more I hear through the grape vine the more content I am with my decision. Growing up in a toxic family full of bitches really sucks🦧

I think it's education as well ( keyword : " as well " ), seems like in north america kids are raised in an environnement where they're told they're always right and special, should always believe in themselves, basically to say fuck to doubts and get empowered and empower others in their behaviors.
So they're more comfortable being trainwrecks, they talk about it like it's a positive and they're not growing, probably since they're 5 or 6 in the emotionnal department.

I don’t approach because I know I’m not attractive enough to get most girls. Not that I’m ugly either. I’m often rated a 7 and once rated an 8 and the lowest was 6 but the sad thing is average women view average men like me as ugly. And I hate how they say all I need is confidence but than those same girls will be like “well yeah she rejected you because she’s too pretty for you” when the girl like a solid 7.5 and only looks like an 8 when she applies makeup on. It’s just a waste of time now. I wish I wasn’t born broke or average looking. But these are the cards I been dealt with

Is it just me, or do certain words not mean what they used to anymore? For example Karen. It was created for RACIST white women and now that term gets thrown around for anybody annoying. Woke used to be something that consipary theorists used to describe themselves, now it's used for LGBT weirdos. F-Boy used to be for people who weren't loyal. For example if I lend someone 5 bucks and the next day he pretends I didn't. It was also used for people who couldn't speak up for themselves or people who snitched.
Man, I hate these times. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Your mixing up Karen. Karen used to be anyone annoying and crazy and NOW its largely meant to mean racist, crazy, white woman.

A lot of words have lost all of their power because they are thrown around so freely usually by leftist in an attempt to silence you.

Tbf Karen was being used since 2019 towards any adult white woman who fit the stereotype of trying to get their way even when they're out of line but some of the some of the most popular examples of that came in the form of racist women who called the police on POCs and pretending to be the victim.
The rest of your comment is true though

@@Legiteral It was exclusively used for racist white women who called cops on black people for no reason. Now it's used for women who don't want to wear masks inside a store and anything else.

6:25 I'd say the most important part is whether they are charming and confident or insecure and scared when saying shit. It's not about what you say, it's about how you say it.
