He sure was on fire here! it's crazy how you can tell. My first concert he was tommy as I knew him. The second one, it was somewhat a bad concert. the sound was off and tommy didn't seem to feel it. The third time I went to watch him, he was insane!!! I never knew even tommy had that in him. 3 Days ago i went too see him a 4th time and am glad to say after all this covid and him getting quite old, he's still just as good as ever
I've watched many of Tommy's live shows on youtube and I've never even seen him misfret a note let alone make a flub. His muscle menory & coordination is just unreal. He's the king.
All I can say is that and to quote"This guitar better be over 18 years old"no words can say how great this is...I would love to see Clapton do this!!!!

i Agree, but when you mention Argentina is what caught my attention to your comment. Have you at some point ever looked up Gabriella Quevedo?. From Sweden, picked up her father's guitar and never looked back. I think you will really enjoy her arrangements. :) Greetings from Australia.
yes he really is on fire on this one..caught my ears alright! Also, have you seen the gig with Tommy, Richard Smith and Sylvain Luc? found Sylvains playing and integration with the other two amazing players very inspiring and memorable too
@@philipgarrett282 That one really caught my eye!!- My take was: I thought Sylvain was being a real jerk to Richard Smith with his punky antics, and then when Tommy came out he was was stepping all over him and being arrogant and dismissive- I think he might have been a little intimidated or territorial? I dunno, but Tommy just slipped away from any ego battle, supports Sylvain's playing, flatters him with his stage patter, and after awhile the whole thing lifted off in a big incredible way and Sylvain melted into being yet another a Tommy fan along the way. I thought it was a remarkable transformation in attitude. Those two together in that show play the best improvised improvisational guitar set I've ever listened to. Then Tommy politely and deferentially asks Sylvain if its OK to bring Richard Smith back out (I think) so his pal can play some tunes in a much more flattering light, which he does. Tommy is so damn good and clearly a very thoughtful man.
fantastic musician! very creative, should have been a soccer player he's also good with his head!!!! I agree Henri best version of his house of rising sun!

"I Go To Rio." Tommy, you're my continuing inspiration. Still playing theraputic music at my assis- ted care and loving it. Since 20 through cancer, other stuff.
godeniro The beginning of this medley is: What A Day For A Daydream (Comp.: John Sebastian, performed by Lovin' Spoonful) followed by: When I' m 64, Daytripper and Lady Madonna
My guess is it sounded much better in person. His sound engineer is one of the tops in the businesses and I've seen Tommy talk about how much time he spends before a show getting the sound exactly right. Whatever was used to film/record this wasn't too good.
That girl has such a beautiful voice! To bad he had to screw her songs up! By trying to sing harmony! Free advice Tommy! Stick to your guitar playing!! Even You had to cringe! When you heard those songs back! But? Your EGO just had to get in the way! eh???
Tommy's version of Classical Gas should be considered the 8th wonder of the world.
