Wet socks aren't THAT BAD here's why; there are a few different levels to wet socks on a 1-5 scale: 1 socks are only a tiny bit wet like a couple of stray water drops landed on the top and they'll air dry in an hour, 2 socks are half wet but mostly on the top and can air dry in 2-3 hours, 3 socks are mostly wet but the water has permeated through to the bottom of the sock and can dry in 3-4 hours, 4 socks are wet almost all the way through but not soaked can dry in 5 hours but the best option is to change them, 5 socks are completely soaked through there is no coming back from this you HAVE to change your socks and dry your feet as much as possible the socks although soaked now need to be washed.
