Ok but can we talk about how respectful Francesca is she’s not pushing or rushing Samira and she apologized when she thought she did something wrong or made her uncomfortable.
And it's also amusing because a couple of those times she's retreating in response to Samira's slight hesitation even as Samira's trying to find a way to say yes.
Completely agree. She's so respectful. Also, she seems so mature and was patient with Samira's hot and cold approach.
Yes! I love that Francesca is direct and very forthcoming about how she feels, but also understands to make space for Samira's hesitation / knows to back off when Samira can't give a clear cut enthusiastic response. Their scenes are actually a really good representation of how consent should be approached especially with uneven power dynamics in the mix. I just hope the show keeps it up and the writing doesn't drop off a cliff 😂

I knew it! Samira’s going to need a bit of TLC if she wants it and by the end I’m glad she made up her mind. 😏 Her hesitance and nervousness makes complete sense and it’s believable and relatable. Francesca looked incredible! 😍 Gorgeous in that white suit. Are you kidding me! More of that please. 😂 these two are not subtle at all. Desi seems to have a megaphone personality. Am I way off? Would she tell? Loving this!!! ❤️ also, not sure where I stand at the end. Would it be considered rushed if it turns out to be more than a make out session? 🤔

As much as I enjoy seeing a WLW relationship start to blossom on Shorty... and as much as I like these two characters.... i have to be honest and say... does no one else notice the lack of actual chemistry that these two actors have? I am not believing that they are hot for each other. Sara Wiseman (as Jennifer) kissing Anna Jullienne (as Maia)... at Maia's house, in the lift at work, in the car... that was chemistry! I believed they were into each other. I want believe that for Samira and Francesca too but so far their lack of chemistry as actors is leaving me feel a bit... meh.
Just to clarify... i know the actors can't actually kiss because this was filmed during Covid restrictions in NZ but i notice the lack of chemistry in other ways like the way they look at each other. There is a lack of intensity in the way they look at each other.
They can’t do much because of Covid, unfortunately. So it looks awkward and the fact that Samira seems to be confused because she has never been with a woman before. That’s my take. 🤷🏻♀️
RIght?!! And the lack of chemistry, for me, came a lot more from the actress who plays samira, it's like she's bored everytime she's with that woman, for gods sake
I don't know for me and asper the comments that's I saw lot of people most of them can see the chemistry between them... But yes bcoz of COVID restriction they can't kiss so it's definitely going to be of putting for lot of people... Also bcoz of the massive age gap some people also not going to like them as couple... I still see few people commenting like they see them as mother and daughter just like some people say about Bette and Dani from the l word (bcoz of the big age gap)... Without proper intimacy mostly kissing it's going to look like for some people that there is no chemistry between them bcoz of the age gap for sure...
