Its called "skill". These aren't loaded-up with a bunch of downforce to make a driver look good. These things slide around a LOT. Corner speed also costs BIIIIG $$$$. These cars a relatively affordable and fun as hell to drive.
They corner harder than you would think. 14in wide slick at the back 12in wide at the front. 2600lbs, minimal down force, 850hp and no traction control. It's a driver skill class and likely one of the last "real" race cars around.
Seems like every time I watch TA1 it's the same story. Ernie cleans house, Amy has a frustrating day.

Drissi put himself a lap down just to wreck Ruman. He was banned for an entire year as a result.

My mistake, Drissi just held his line, he didn't move right. Looks like Ruman was just expecting the slow car keep going straight into the grass.

Actually it's a Chevy powered racecar with a Mustang body. All TA1 cars are powered by 358 Small Block Chevys.

These muscle cars are so slow around corners, I thought they were on a warm up lap throughout the race. terrible.
