Yeah the term is use interchangeably for years for a long time people will say that’s not the meaning but people been using it this way in the NRS scene forever and whatever helps you understand what’s happening then let that be that but I hope this helps you

How does wavedashing help with trip guarding ? You only dash backwards once right ?

Not always , if my opponent is close enough he may hit me but if I wave dash back I’ll be able to back up fast and punish him
