Would also like to see reviews on the All new "Thomas and Thomas" fly rods. I understand they are really good. Would like to specifics.

(@@Strontyum ) Happened way back in 1997 bro, Loomis still makes some of the best fly rods ever created. Nothing has changed, actually it has gotten better.

....because Shimano in Japan are the only ones who can do the spiral-x and hipower-x wrapping, the base of the rod is still made in the United States in Washington, then shipped to Japan for the x-wrapping, and finally shipped back to Washington to finish them off with the cork, guidelines, etc.
This literally has nothing to do with moving production to another country to save on costs. If anything, doing the above just increases the cost to manufacturer these rods, that's why Asquith and Conquest rods are so ridiculously priced. Everything else at Loomis is still made and produced in Washington. You do realize that when companies do this, they usually pick a country that's renowned for having cheap labor, like Mexico, countries in Africa, etc. right? They choose 3rd world countries. Japan is not exactly a 3rd world country last I checked, they're kinda one of the strongest allies of the United States, and they also make the best fishing tackle out there, so honestly, I don't mind that. At all.
