    I noticed the alternator belt is loose..got to watch it doesn't stop changing or it starts over heating because that belt runs the water pump too

    I have a KX101 that I recently bought. These machines are very hard to find but in good shape they are some of the best minis made I believe. I have had the same problems with the return line and the best money spent is to get a quality fuel line or it will always be a problem in many ways.

      @@jerrysorrellsii5859 Man! A 101! Ive yet to see one in person! I’ve seen a handful of Kx41s, one even had an extenda boom on it.
      This one will definitely be returned to its former glory……. But still used.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@DiamondMNathan Thank you for replying and you bet make more videos of the kx41 when you work on it there really isn't all that many of these types around from what I have found more so in other countries but not so much in the USA, also I think I can turn you on to a few places that have some used kx41 models that they are parting out if it might help at some point as you are doing your repairs? I'm looking for a used excavator znd ran into a 6000€ KX91 (3200kg) seller said it was 5000 hours but it was not in my opinion. A lot of black exhaust and as much pressure as from the exhaust coming from the cranck case, was a 4 cylinders. The right track engine did not want to turn (maybe not a motor problem, more likely a drawer one) and then..the turret had a lot of play. Even for that price, i left it, the guy lied and i do not want any other surprises.

    I am wondering why you have the extra fan attached, would that be to help cool the motor or the hydraulics? seem to have an issue with my hydraulic oil getting to hot that I am trying to resolve.

    • @DiamondMNathan
      @DiamondMNathan  9 днів тому +1

      @@jerrysorrellsii5859 It’s close to time for a radiator on this one. The fan keeps it going on those hot days, it keeps its own otherwise.
      I’d check your system relief for starters. And check every row of fins on your radiator and hydraulic cooler if equipped .Secondly, a hydraulic cooler never hurts anything. This machine shows none in the parts manual, but it has one in front of the radiator.
      Please buy a temp gun, even if a cheap 20$ one. This will help you find hotspots. I’ve diagnosed many cooling system issues with one. The problem spot is always the hottest. But if you don’t have adequate cooling to start with, the heat just builds in the entire system.
      The fan is a bandaid, but it 100% helps, for 40-80$ it can get you by until you get the real problem sorted. There was no room in the machine to mount it inside the engine bay.
      You should post a video of your machine! I’d love to see it.

      I have a kx-41 also. The hydro cooling is on the outer side of the radiator. It is like a trans cooler on older cars. Yes located behind that external fan, on his.

      @@DiamondMNathan Thank you for the info I had just started doing that with a temperature gun and it has helped already when I check the hydro cooler at four points and 3 points are the same temp with one being around 30 degrees hotter so I"m going to remove it tomorrow and flush it out, none of the owners before me ever done any preventive maintenance on the hydraulics only if it something broke so I'm having to rebuild everything as I can or have too. A lot of the parts have been discontinued for my machine from kubota which are to much in the first place then there is Colemans which has the same online set up and they only charge half of what kubota charges. LOL which is still to much for all that I need, I needed 2 wear rings for one of the boom cylinders and they wanted $350 and then I still needed all the other seals so I decided I was going to have to learn to measure and know what I was looking at and order things from somewhere else. I got those 2 wear rings plus overnight shipping for a total of $70 dollars which you probably already know that but just in case it may help you save some money as well. The down side is you have to take things a part to measure them before you can order them but if your not using it everyday you can have them in hand in 3 to 4 days. I will figure out how to upload videos before long and share them with you mine has the enclosed cab, some of the glass is missing as well as the door but I plan to replace all of that later and rig up a hillbilly cooling system as I'm in the Houston area, smallest rv roof top ac and a 120 convertor will do the job. LOL
