My guess : 7 strings guitar in drop A with pitch shift pedal to drop A again so double drop A, distortion with a good gate and, a great bass guitar ( just giving some credit to Hostin :) )
@@cerberus3504I think Quentin said in an interview they’re doing Drop A pitch shifted down 7 semitones to Double Drop D. They also tune the highest two strings a half step apart for barring panic chords. They said they’re running axe fx iii with midi control and some songs have up to 40 different scenes cause they use a tone of effects and stack different ones like harmonizers and filters
@@connorloughran6666thank you for explaining this 🙏🏽 I tuned my bass vi to Double Drop C# (not to cover but just to play in basement tuning) and still can’t get the type of tone/timbre they’re creating. Maybe there’s some secret sauce in pitch shifting down from Drop A in a 25.5” scale length guitar that can’t be achieved by naturally tuning a 30” scale bass vi to basement levels

Des fois ce groupe joue des notes mais ça importe peu parce qu'on ne les comprends pas.
Des fois il bend une corde à l'extrême j'entends juste un "prout".
Pour jouer aussi grave, un son qui correspond à 4 pédales de distos empilés...C'est compliqué.

To be more technical it's drop A but pitch shifted down to drop D. Idk the whole set up but they use an octaver as well.
Does it make a difference when u pitch down to drop d or actually tune the string to drop d?
@@deadleaf3573 i haven't pitch shifted down that far for too long but I noticed it almost is like a gate. The notes don't hold too long. It also changes the sound.
I usually just set mine for 2 octaves up and only use it for the high notes. But after hearing some of these guys songs I'm definitely going to try this out.

And for the main high pitch riff it it just a pitch shift octave up for the effect? Or are there more effects used ?

-The song is in double drop D; our guitars are tuned to drop A. So we got a pitch sifter that tunes them 7 semitones down + an octaver.
-Whammy + filters + distortions
@@lukagarotin9512 could you clarify this for me, how you are playing a double drop d song on drop a tuned guitars by pitch shifting? in double drop d aren't your e strings supposed to be both be tuned to the same note, but in drop a the first and sixth strings are separate notes. So I'm not sure how that works

I really would like to know what amps are used live, The speaker setup I imagine a bunch of 412s. I'd assume a Kemper or something like that? The guitars look custom as well, Im nerding out over everything. This is the sound of the future to me.

Its a lot to explain, but there's another comment by one of the guitarists that explains it. Its drop A pitch shifted down to drop D (8 string drop D) but on 7 strings. An octaver and 2 other effects.
