Using the KR55 Mercedes Flip Key Programmer to Add Key In Vehicle
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 бер 2021
- The KR55 Keymaker is a new programming device that allows you to program KR55 Flip Remote Keys and Fixed Bladed Keys to Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter, Chrysler Crossfire, Mercedes R170 (SLK), R129 (SL), W140 (S-Class), W461 (G-Class), W168 (A-Class), W414 (Vaneo) vehicles.
This is the only solution available in the US market currently besides the dealer tool that allows programming of the remote function on the IR Flip Remote Keys, As a side note, these keys are no longer available for purchase through the Mercedes Dealership.

Can you do that
Where to purchase this tools... ???
Hmmm ok so I'm gonna ask this, since I've been looking and I cannot find any answers anywhere. Could this key technology work on keys that are already programmed to another vehicle? So for context, I live in the UK and I own an R170 SLK with only ONE working remote key. I bought two that do work from eBay but they just need to be reprogrammed to my vehicle.
I'm surprised this wasn't cracked sooner as the tech is over 20 years old, however watching this gives me a glimmer of hope after having no luck for a few years now. If you could answer my question, I would be very appreciative.
No; must use the keys that they sell with kr55 ONLY. Not even aftermarket keys. Not even keys sold by the dealer. MUST be kr55 IR keys.
Do you all still program keys!
Hi, I only have the valet key for my ML55. I have a second hand fob and a blade cut to suit. Will KR55 be able to use the valet key to synch the second hand fob?
No; must use the keys that they sell with kr55 ONLY. Not even aftermarket keys. Not even keys sold by the dealer. MUST be kr55 IR keys.
Also in your case valet key will not be able to do this procedure. KR55 can do it; but the computer must be pulled and the procedure done on-bench in order for all keys lost to be performed, as a valet key does not have the same permissions enabled.
Hi i do have kr55
Is it same procedure to ML and sprinter?
Hello, Thank you for taking a minute to ask us about the KR55. The process for an ML Series and Sprinter are very similar to the Crossfire process that you watched in this video.
The link for the key fob is broken
Info... For verivy a w168, you press the after market key ( lock or unlock button) not the original keybutton!
Thank you for taking a moment to comment on our video. We appreciate you watching it.
@@KeyInnovationsWholesale Glad I saw this.... it was a bit confusing... might want to edit text at that spot in vidjeo
Ok this is awesome now how do I get this done......I am in San diego
Hello - Thank you for your question. Feel free to call your sales representative at International Key Supply (1-866-559-5397) or you can find the equipment through this link - www.internationalkeysupply.com/products/mb-remote-key-maker-advanced-bundle
Hello in an all key lost situation, you can do by obd2 to? With this tool? Thanks
No; must have a working key. All keys lost KR55 can do but; must pull the computer and perform on-bench functions in order to do so.
If I only have one programmed key, will it program a new remote without a working one?
Thank you for your question. If you do not have a working remote the KR55 can still program a new Remote Key to the vehicle through EPROM Programming. Without a working remote this process cannot be done through OBD alone.
What if all key are lost?
Hello, can used key from scrap car be programmed too?
No; must use the keys that they sell with kr55 ONLY. Not even aftermarket keys. Not even keys sold by the dealer. MUST be kr55 IR keys.
Will this work for a 2008 Sprinter?
Yes
What if I don't have remote but I do have a working key without remote?
Game over; must pull computer and do the process on-bench like all keys lost. The main issue is the infrared sync in order to have a functional remote. The system (immobilizer) is separate from the remote. You can start the car; but no remote functionality.
@@CrystalBUGS wow, old mercedes keys are really secure. i heard they also need to solder some connectors to configure the computer. 🥺 thank you so much for your comment!
Can you use obd process for akl ?
No; AKL on bench only.
Can i send my spoiled remote n key to you to duplicate
IF you still need this done, ask IKS to refer you to a locksmith who they have in their system, equipped for this vehicle. Needs to be hooked up to vehicle to be done.
This is great news since I can not find anyone who will help me I had 2 keys and I dropped the one last remote and attached the last chip to the antenna behind the dash but the remote will only after sitting 20 min the car must think key is left in the car. I live in Maryland zip 21078
Hi Ryan, That sounds like a very unique issue. Have you tried calling a locksmith or going to the dealer? They may be able to help with that or at least generate a new key.
Im going to ask the question no one seem to have ask why did you say mercedes but you programmed it to a Chrysler one thing for sure i did learn that Mercedes key works in Chrysler
