@christinestephenson1742 I'd second that, they're a bit tougher and the meat can be stronger in game flavour. Best to get younger ones if you're looking for some tasty meat
I dropped 1 @ 380lbs when I was 18. My uncle said you really can't do anything w/them. Supposedly you can't rid the toughness & that wild taste, no matter how long you soak them. So we donated it to some friends who were from Mexico. That family went nuts & didn't waste a thing. They must have a secret when it comes to cookin it. This was a nice catch!
Makin Bacon! That was Cool to see them pigging out or at least attempting to. So when they drag them into the trailer is that how you get pulled pork!?
That big boar seems to have a lot of commercial hog DNA in his physical make-up. Check out the full round rump on him. Original Spanish breeds have mostly bony angular rump structure. While many American farm breeds have full round rumps which make GREAT hams. That hog almost looks like a big full grown steer.

I dont use traditional police dogs, German Shedders. I use Airedales. We live in Texas where the hog issue is off the chart . Since the grocery stores are knocked out, when the traditional k9's shut down for the day, we switch to hunt mode to feed people too ! I csnt tell you how many thumbs up we get with hogs in back going to feed people ! Yet, being female Id like to think its about me, but its not. We hunt bear ( what airedales are now bred for hunting) cougar, coyote packs as well as game birds and water fowl. Airedales are good family dogs, good with kids , good watch dogs and police dogs. They also herd. Im currently in the Fla panhandle if you'd like to try a little Texas style dog hogging. We use go pros and drones . Interested? please excuse my ignorance. are they edible?
Absolutely..
Make sure the interior of the meat reaches a minimum of 160 C or 325 F

@@ItsAWildLife1 What if people depended on feral pigs more than domestic farm pigs for pork, wouldn't that really help keep their numbers in check?
This might be a stupid question, but can you raise the babies up for meat?
Will you ever be able to tame them?
Yes.
You need to put two signs on the cage, on the outside of it: "WELCOME", from the inside after it closes: "SURPRISE!"
That's where a electric winch comes in handy...💯👍
Where does the big one going to? The alligator farm or food?
It's crazy when you close the gates down, they all run to thsy spot were they came in 😂
Do you ever keep any of the babies to raise for meat or are there so many hogs you don’t need to?
LoL! Was the delay really in the trap or the brain? The escapee had ample room and time for the trap to be successful.
Do yall get paid to do this? Is it by weight or?
Winch - you need a winch. 😀👍
That boar could do some serious damage.
U know something about the 22lr being an instant drop. I've seen 300 mag spray innards & run 100yrds & 22 instant drop!
Alligators can climb fences.

Congratulations Guys! Awesome job!
Can you spray it with skunk scent to mask the human scents?
Bad ass video !!!
Phenomenal editing
How does the fence stand up? I don’t see any holes or digging.
Does all that adrenaline effect the flavor and tenderness?
Next time, put the 🌽 corn in a "T" shape, with the top of it away from the gates. 😉
Do these hogs make good eating?
Will the other dog get smarter and never go into a trap?
That's one good looking beast. What a brute!
It's interesting that they immediately realized the gates had closed and they were trapped.
I heard that the wild boars are a delicacy? They original came from Europe.

I’m surprised you didn’t keep some of the little ones to grow so you could fatten them up. I know a guy that did that to a pig he caught.
