Three weeks ago we moved into our unfinished Sprinter Van Conversion without running water or electricity and each week we inch closer to a beautiful off-grid tiny home on wheels.

After a long 16 weeks of this VAN LIFE BUILD project, we are living in our 170 Sprinter Campervan and are readjusting to tiny living! We are beyond thrilled to have a functioning INDOOR shower in this space and the fact that we have HOT WATER is the absolute cherry on top... but of course, none of this comes without a leak or two 😂 We also tackle the finishing details that will make this home last!

How Did We Get Here?

After an incredible 3 years of living, working, and traveling in our self converted Sprinter Van we made the very tough decision to abandon it in Africa to take a rescue flight back to Canada. As it has for all of us this global pandemic has flipped our world upside down. When our Prime Minister announced that he was sending repatriation flights over to Africa to pick up Canadians who were stuck (due to border closures) we consulted with friends and family closest to us and realized that in this time of crisis we should be back in our home country. Halting our dream of driving around the world was a hard pill to swallow which is why we knew we needed a big project to keep our mind + body busy while social distancing back here in Toronto. Enter building an off-grid tiny house on wheels!! This is going to be our 3rd time converting an empty cargo van into a campervan and we are both excited and nervous to take on this project. We want this build to be the ULTIMATE OFF-GRID VAN 🚐

I am already tearing up at the thought of you guys finally getting married!! You’re such a beautiful example of love and you both genuinely bring so much happiness to my life! While a court house wedding sounds fun (and id still cry lol) I can still imagine a beautifully simple wedding for you guys. Whatever you end up doing will be amazing no matter what!!
All that interior layout, plus dedicated storage for the spare bed parts in the "garage", and you've still got a slot to carry 8x4 sheets of plywood? I take my hat off to you sir - that is some masterful design work.
We agree, that layout isn't one I've seen before! We are currently converting a bigger van and documenting over on our channel if you're interested in watching some more vanbuild series! Haha I'm all about #CityHall! My fiance and I have been together 10 years now and we were supposed to be getting married this November in Hamilton...we postponed to next September but part of me just wonders if we should have scrapped the whole thing and just eloped! hahaha. What's another year waiting though when we've been together this long!? You guys do what makes you happiest, and even if the wedding were to never happen, I'm sure that wouldn't change your relationship at all. You guys are awesome together! So happy to see the final touches coming together on the van.... also side note - we call our couch "second bed" all the time... we usually wake up and then plop right back down and try to nap onto "second bed" when we can't seem to find the energy to start our day. I love that you guys have a functional guest bed too in this build!
Favorite part of this weeks van build was the hot water install. That whole segment was amazing. Oh my gosh! Yes get married next episode!! Then you can go on a little honey moon in your newly completed van.

Hi guys☺ Me n hubby met in 1983, funnest year ever for me😘 We drove to Gibraltar with 4 friends in tow no fuss no worrying about anyone just us! We live in Spain and have family scattered all over so it was the best thing for us at the time. Come September it will be 25yrs married but 37yrs together and no regrets about our Wedding Day😊 Great video...van lookin fab! Xx

I did 15 years sailing, and there are many good ideas you can get from how they are designed. One is shower curtain rails for sailboats are very concealed and when stored your curtain you cant see it. Also leave the toilet in place as you can shower over it. Great work guys I love following your channel. Kudos

I found a second hand LDV conversion and moved out of my flat. Have a nice small casual wedding with your closest friends and family. My husband and I had a small little outdoor wedding up in the mountains with our closest friends and family after being together for 10 years...that was almost 3 years ago now. So happy we had a small wedding. Don’t sweat the small stuff, just get the people who matter to you there and get married. Have a family member marry you, that’s what we did and it’s so much more special that way. Wishing you both all of the best.

#cityhall we are celebrating 8 years married today August 4th and while our wedding 8 years ago in the Niagara region of Ontario was magical and memorable, we know a city hall situation would have been just as great. The wedding doesn’t make a marriage, just like a “house” doesn’t make a space a home. You two do whatever feels right for you, if that means having a wedding your way with all your fam and friends around or making it official at city hall, only you two have to live and work together on your marriage and you can’t make everyone happy. Traditional Weddings are also expensive and time consuming to plan. Do what is best for Eamon and Bec whatever that looks like. ❤️

Yes to city hall, my wife and I wanted a big wedding but life happened we we ended up at the courthouse. Afterwards we had a backyard party with our friends and we wouldn’t change a single thing!!

My nephew married in his grandparent's yard. Covid has forced some to consider dumping all of the hassle linked with weddings 💖 and focused on the ceremony. Your yard could be anywhere. In your vlogs you celebrate everything outside, simple, and heartfelt I see no reason why you couldn't do the same with a small ceremony.

My husband and I just eloped in Colorado on July 17th! It was amazing and I'm happy we did it, even though we did originally want a big wedding. We'll maybe have a reception in 2021 but for now, we're really happy with our mountain-top wedding ordained and witnessed by ourselves(you can do that in Colorado).

Yo folks! Doing vanlife in a WV California this summer for 5 weeks. Small porta potti and the occasional shower outside in the woods are so great and we couldn't live without it. Completly feel you on this episode for the shower inside a van, it's the best ❤️
You need to do a Trent & Allie style wedding , round up the family in the van & say “ I do”

Just an idea for the shower curtain. You could add magnets to the bottom so it will stick to the shower pan walls and not on you in the shower. Hope the ideal is helpful. I look forward to seeing these videos every week. Ya are living my dream and I love to see it! Sending so much love to you both.

Eamon is a smart man; lock that good woman down. Little things like using the tape even though Eamon may not have felt it was necessary showed respect for Becs' ideas, which, not only worked but it was also considerate and kind. And, in turn, Bec is so cheery, helpful, and supportive. You two are the closest thing I've ever seen to a perfect couple. Some people can't live together in a 5,000 sq. ft house yet the two of you thrive in 60 sq. ft. That takes real love and it shows. Thanks for showing and sharing with the rest of us.
