  • This video has been a long time in the making. I finally got all the products off the shelves and lined up on my sonic countertops to do a full overview of what products I think you need to execute a full Prevost air solution in your garage. I think these are easily some of the smartest and highest quality air parts you can find.

    I’m one of the guys that still didn’t understand how this all works with the limited list of OG Prevost products. Kyle and this video made a big difference.

    This stuff looks rad!! The blow guns and standard quick release fittings are surprisingly affordable, too!

    I use the expandable joint type pex. large diameter and I've seen people use 2" pipe to add to the air volume... The 1" your useing is pretty good too, anything you can do to add. I use the pex because I can eleminate almost all joints and with that less oportunity to leak

    I’m just outfitting my garage for distributed air. I’ve already gone with Milton 5in1 safety couplers and now I am kicking myself. I’ve started running into an issuew with some of my air tools and not having a swivel connection. I was considering getting a 360 degree swivel for each air tool but it looks like the Prevost high flow 1/4” swivel coupler might solve it all with one coupler!! Thank you!

      The swiveling couplers are amazing! I've found them to be pretty bulletproof as well.

    I got my euro high flow metal tip hooked up today and it blows air out without me squeezing the trigger is it supposed to do that ?

    Nice looks alot like the airnet and airpipe piping solutions we install. Same aluminum pipe as well fittings almost identical

      @ObsessedGarage  4 роки тому +1

      Airnet is a few levels below this. Prevost termination and fittings are far superior.

    Enjoying all your videos. I’m going to install 20mm prevost pipe work. Can you use a normal deburring tool on the pipes or is the prevost one required?

    Having install in my workshop Maxline by Rapidair which is a semi flexible plastic aluminum plastic pipe. There were some advantages and disadvantages to the prevost system Matt is showing. One advantage was it came in a 100ft length versus 6.6ft Matt sells the prevost. Which saves a ton of fittings and time but straigtening this pipe can be a pain in the butt and its never perfectly straight which is where the prevost shines. The fittings were very heavy duty with the maxline kit no plastic its all nikel plated brass and the air chuck plates have built in drain valves for any water accumulation. It is more economical in the end but the look of the prevost is as good as it gets. Also the maxline clamps are single screw retaining c clips and the pipe can pop out especially around cornings. Prevost clamp seems to be alot more heavy duty than the maxline. Lastly maxline kit did come with the pipe cutter and the reamer which was a nice plus whereas its separate and quite pricey for the prevost. If you have the money go for the prevost if you need some more economical and not as astetically pleasing buy the rapidair maxline kit.

      Well said. The Rapidair stuff has the typical American made look and feel. I think it's a good choice if you intend to hide it.

    I just bought my first polisher and I'm looking into picking up the Prevost High Flow S1 stuff and an air compressor but looking at the Prevost guns, they're rated for ~13 SCFM. Does this mean I need a 13 SCFM rated air compressor? I'd only be using the compressor to blow out pads, car interiors and filling tires so don't want to buy anything robust if it's not needed.

    Hey Matt, I just wanted to ask what the benefits of the provost piping solution is over copper when doing a CR spotless setup? Is it simply a matter of the piping not needing to be sottered together?

    • @austinhensley6901
      @austinhensley6901 2 роки тому

      Hello Jeff, I'm with Prevost as a Regional Sales Manager out of the PNW region. The other benefits of the piping system are the tapping flanges that allow moister to stay in the main line. If you slope your system to 1 corner of your shop/garage, you can add a drain line. Also when you need to add an additional drop line you can use the tapping flange for the extra drops so there is no extra cutting and sottering. The inside and outside of the aluminum pipe is coated for a long lasting no rust life. We typically offer a 10 year leak free warranty as long as a certified installer installs the system.

    I owe you an apology. I have given you shit in the past and I regret it. My wife and I watched your home tours and gained huge respect for you and your process. I hope if we ever met we would be buddies. “Dial it in” describes you perfectly.

      Thanks man! I understand that I'm playing in a field where people are prone to make snap judgements. What I'm not very good at doing is staying center. I just do me and have a tendency to turn a bunch of people off, but I think if someone will give me a shot, they might understand the message.
