- I said my last 5600 would be my final video on the 5600 series. But after getting the correct band and bezel for my 5600C I thought it would be best to compare them again. I also go into some functionality differences between the two watches.
As for the component quality I don't think Casio has really skipped out in that regard. It's more of an evolution thing. Casio has developed more power efficient chips and used smaller component overall. I haven't noticed any real differences in time keeping ability in terms of accuracy. The 3229, 1545, 901 and 691 all seem to be about the same. I'll sync them all up and see if they deviate much. But in the past I've syned my 3229 module against the automic clock. It basically took almost a year before the watch was even close to being 15 seconds off!

10:00 worth noting that $70 in 1987 is worth around $190 today, which is not far off some current screw back models like the DW-5000SS
I got the DW5040PG and think its pretty good value considering the finishing and quality you get. A really nice unique treated steel case back and keeper. The screen seems even more gold than the DW5035 you have.
The 5040's pricing is identical to what scalpers used to charge for new 5035's back when they were new. The 5040 should cost about the same as a new 5035 did so it should be $150 or so. Also consider the packaging is just paper and cardboard now. Casio is basically ripping off collectors with the 40th anniversary.
@@RobertNES816 With inflation it only works out to be a bit more expensive relative to the 5035. 20,000YEN - 38,000YEN for the 5040. With the added process of the steel work on the metal parts I think that is reasonable for a limited product.
@@thiscocks if that was true then everything else Casio sells would've gone up in price as well. Yet all other watches are basically the same price as they were five years ago.
@@RobertNES816 Most of the more basic squares are around the £100 mark. Not that much of a price jump to £270 for a limited edition srewback case limited model. Especialy considering GW 5000s still go for over £200.

I heard you saying that you found the right Bezel for the DW-5600C. I got three of DW-5600C but can’t find the right size bezel for it here in the UK. Do you remember where did you get the bezel for your DW-5600c the screw back the old model? Do it fit straight away or one have have to modify it? Thanks
On ebay there's a seller from Portugal. It's fits on just like the original Bezel.

@@nikeich9 Just a replica. The buckle though is junk. I'd reuse the original Casio buckle.
I just ordered from them so now I sit and wait till it shows up. I also have the DW-5600 (691) screw back so I hope it works. Ill let you know if I have any luck in about 5 weeks.

On my DW-5600E (same model as in vid) I cant actually press the adjust button down with my finger even if I try with my nail. I have to use an implement!
You probably have big fingers. These watches have that issue, it's something that Casio should have improved years ago but they just haven't.
@@RobertNES816 Yeah its a bit odd. My other two older DW5600 I can atleast work the button but the newer one I have I just cant when it is on my wrist

@@RobertNES816 Yeah looking at it, t seems to be even more recessed than my other DW5600s. The DW5000s (newer post 2000 ones) are all fairly easy to push.
