Who we taking with the 32nd pick in the 2025 draft?
32nd and 33rd. Lol
A kicker 😂. Bear down.
And 33rd from Carolina
Ray Guy
Slow your roll, son.
Anyone who really knows Roam skill level would never have traded back. Kid is going to be a stalwart. All you heard for two years with Marvin Harrison Junior. Marvin is an outstanding player. I wouldn’t be surprised, however, to see them have equitable careers, if not see Rome out to him. To have that in your pocket with the ninth pick after getting Caleb at one is the definition of winning the draft, and the off-season. Only thing to win next is the Super Bowl. FGB let’s go.
Besides that, this dude's justification for trading down and getting defense was because of all of the "investment on offense this offseason." He sounds like he has no idea how much they already actually have invested on the defensive side.
Couldn’t have said it better!
If Caleb is even half of what Rodgers was, I will gladly take it.
Finally, someone who has some sense, Bears fans are so worried about Fields and what was or wasn’t done for him, instead of focusing on what’s on the current roster!
@@Scrappytp3Really, the bar is low for Caleb. All he has to do is be better than Fields. No disrespect to Fields, but all the stuff that was short/intermediate was his kryptonite. I think Williams eats that stuff up and hits some deep stuff.
Very excited for this next year..
@@benwilkens6289 can’t argue with that, I was just referring to the delusional portion of the Bears Fanbase 😂
Look at all the Fields ball washers in the comments...still salty. 😂
What are you talking about? There aren’t many “Field balls washers” in the comments. Vast majority of fans are on board with Caleb and supporting him. Stop trying to create drama. Even those that preferred Fields have moved on.
The Cult is AMAZINGLY STUPID!!! Or trolling!! They know da truth!!!
@@bigdogstatus83Take a look down the thread, bishop is not wrong..
Dude, let it go.
@@benwilkens6289There's one guy. I didn't want Fields to go either, but I just like my team and don't want to spend my fandom hating my own players. How miserable was the 2023 season for you clamoring from game 1 for the Bears to trade Fields? What if Williams is average (doubt it, he won't bust), are you gonna cry and moan for 4 years?
Thank you for your opinion, Mr...Butt.
The hardest part is NFL SPEED.
P. Manning said when he got in.. NO ONE WAS OPEN. Defense was up on his WR's so quickly.
what i wanted initially is that we got jared verse at #9. but after looking at the draft, I get why Ryan Poles did what he did. We've had a problem on the offense since forever. You got a pretty decent defense, good enough to get you by. Why not load up on offense and see what happens. the team that's being built here is similar to what KC is doing.
we keep thinking like bears fans and going for higher quantity or "protection." remember that we think that way because our QB's have sucked ass for a long time. i'm excited for this year because it will 100% look like a different team.
I cant wait until we see taylor kick 60 yarders and destroy teams in field position and finally shut people up about taking him in the 4th. BEARS DID NOT TAKE A PUNTER IN THE 4TH!! THEY TOOK THE BEST PUNTER IN THE 4TH!! Know the difference
If the rookie underperforms petition to resign JF1
Stop with the “was Rome the right pick” nonsense. Thats pure silliness. We finally have a GM & Head Coach who said “who is the best player on the board right now?” which I know I’ve longed for as a Bears fan.
Just stop with that.
I would set the bar higher than Aaron Rodgers with his one lonely championship
I would love Rodgers TD to INT ratio for Caleb for sure!
@user-is2sb3fj6j - I don't think the comparison of Rodgers to Caleb Williams makes sense. There are completely different types of players. Caleb Williams is more reminiscent of Kyler Murray with a better arm and less speed. Caleb Williams should be looked at as a QB to initially get 3,800 yards with 25 TD's before we expect team record breaking numbers.
Lol you traded away Peyton on Wheels
I'm so sick of hearing this new "hero ball"...being playmaker has nothing to "hero ball"
If odunze was a Harrison he would have gone first
I always look to Big Ten analysts to learn about the NFL 🙄
Butt. Haha
FGB/BEAR DOWN
Am I supposed to be shocked that Mr. Butt is in love with Caleb Williams?
Do you mean Jay Cutler Jr? Thats who he reminds me of! Has it written all over his face!
What?!? Where the hell do you get Jay Cutler from watching his tape? Gunslinger mentality?
Cutler was built more like Mahomes… Mahomes is a big dude… 230-235lbs and is also why he takes nuclear hits and shakes them off like nothing…
Jay literally had a deer-in-headllights look when he arrived in Chicago at his introductory press conference. Caleb was enthusiastic and happy to be here.
Also when Jay was in Denver he famously wouldn't look John Elway in the face and watched the TV while having dinner. Caleb hasn't done any of that.
Congrats, you have no idea what you're looking at.
I liked jay cutler. He wasn’t afraid to stand in the pocket & rip it! Bear Down
Why the Bears didn't do this for Fields
wah, wah, wah...
Quit crying.
He couldn't process post snap and his release was too slow.
Caleb's floor is Bustin's ceiling.
They couldn't because of the business aspect
Bad cap situation, very little draft picks, aging defense.
Timeline
Because he's not a good quarterback. He goes through his first progression (usually Moore) and either runs or gets sacked if they're not open. He can't read a defense. Horrible throwing motion hitch and footwork like molasses. Abysmal short-mid ball accuracy -- he can't even do screens correctly. The only things he does well are run and throw a decent deep ball.
Also his contract situation, timeline, draft picks, and salary cap just didn't line up. If the Bears didn't have the 1st pick this year, then maybe all these players would've been for him...but if you have the chance to significantly upgrade at QB, especially with a draft pick that isn't even yours, then you take it 100% of the time.
No one did better in the offseason than the Denver Broncos. Bears are ranked at like 4 or 5.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think drafting Bo Nix at 12 was a huge reach, but its too early to say who did or didnt have a good offseason. We will have to wait and see.
The Broncos had a good off season?
Way too much dead cap
$80m in dead cap = best off season
Jake Butt?
