Goals!
This video changed my life a couple years ago. As soon as I finished watching this video, I bought a truck and started a junk removal business. I quit my full time job at the bank two months later only had 3k in my bank account, but you helped me believe in myself. This year we hit 200k in revenue and I hired my first full-time employee!
Thanks man
Man, the fact that you came back to say that really leaves me speechless. Congrats, I'm genuinely very happy for you.
Hey came across your channel, thanks for the shout out and good luck in your new venture. Great video.
Matt & JoJo are game changers , putting folks on game. 👍
Thanks y'all!
My two favorite channels 🙌🏽 Shoutout to both. Hustle & grind!!
So cool
My big headed brother!! Thank you for the inspiration.
When you make the transaction, ask them if you can send them a link to leave a review. Email them with direct links. wait two days and follow up to remind them. make this standard practice and you'll get a ton of reviews. otherwise people forget.
So true unfortunately! That's great advise!
Awesome. Thank you. So simple but didn't think of that. Not to mention people can get lost if they're not savvy.
I have a qr code in my business cards I hand out to clients that opens the dialog window in google maps where you write the review. Can't be simpler
Just started my Junk Removal business. First job is this Thursday. Sonoma Strong Hauling is also the channel I watch to learn this business.
That's awesome man. Good luck with your business 🤟
@@dm273 Figuring out the SEO stuff to get the phone to ring organically. Good stuff to learn and do. Going well.

@@franciscoarroyo8093 Nice ❗️have you been advertising or just doing like little side hustle odd jobs here and there
Quick tip always take picture of the stuff being put in the storage unit and a picture of you locking it back so you are protected later down the road
Luckily for me, I have hours and hours of raw footage 🤣🤣
Lol I was about to comment that too
As someone who is in the hauling and junk business good luck to you. Don’t forget you will need to get DOT numbers and Commercial Auto insurance. The insurance from Next will only cover general liability. If you get in an accident while moving or hauling anything for profit your normal auto Insurance will NOT cover any cost and you will be liable for 100%. And as soon as you use your truck commercially and it goes over 10k GVWR truck and trailer combined you must have DOT numbers. Best of luck with the new business.
Truly Robert, thanks for the info. I tend to jump out of the airplane and build my parachute on the way down. It's helpful to hear from a pro before I hit the ground 🤣
@@MissionSideHustle That's just the tip of the iceberg. The guys running legal will rat you out as soon they catch wind of your ads or youtube exploits. Trucking and moving businesses are just about as cut-throat as it gets. You are unfair competition because a legal enterprise has expenses you are not factoring. The laws and/or rules apply regardless of a firms size. The Florida Department of Agriculture will be calling - moving furniture has very specific legal requirements whether operating interstate or intrastate. Me: Former owner of an interstate trucking company - avoided household furniture for these reasons and others. Stop what you are doing and get it right before moving another sofa or they will slice your man bits off(i.e. your wallet).
@Adam Baker Honestly not talking crap to you but what am I doing that is illegal if working within a legally formed company that is insured?
@@AdamBakerBaker I understand and appreciate that. Text is a difficult medium of communication in a lot of ways. I wasn't offended and was trying to explain that. I really was questioning what further was left to be done legally?
Oh man, this thread is hilarious.
1. You really think a 3,000lbs truck with some junk is gonna go over 10,000lbs? 😂
Don't be ridiculous.
2. Ah yes, they're going to fine your business into the ground for transporting a small couch.🙄
Seriously though, it's definitely gonna be necessary to get Commercial Auto Insurance and to register with Florida's FDACS, but they're not gonna "slice your man bits off" 💀
I've had magnets for a few different businesses and always end up taking them off because people call me up to tell me that I'm not driving like they want me to.... they have no idea I'm a professional driver but I quickly let them know. lmao Instead of making pennies scrapping good stuff, find people that will buy it. If you don't want to take the time to sell them.... find a couch flipper and sell cheap, or any other type of furniture you don't want to flip. Dryers/ washers/ stoves/ refrigerators? Find a guy that sells those and he will give you $25-$30 each not working. Mowers? Find a mower reseller. Way more money to make on good, non working stuff rather than scrapping it for pennies.
Better for the environment too!
Hey if you haven't already you should definitely add additional services such as hot tub, shed, satellite, trampoline removals and also offer to deliver materials and appliances from stores to customers, I know a guy with a pickup truck that charges $125 to deliver materials to contractors
I'll definitely add that in to my repertoire 🤟
Good job man. You got on it and started pulling in work. A couple things I suggest: bump your price up for a bed load. It depends on the area but a lot of guys are charging $250 give or take. Dont forget you are offering a service, labor, vehicle and dump fees. Maybe build those side walls too. With hauling items for people from point A to point B, I believe you should have insurance for that in case you damage items. Even if you didn't and they claim you did, you would be liable. With junk hauling, once itsbin your possession, it's yours and it doesn't matter what you do with it. All in all, great job. I'm a big Sonoma strong fan too. They are why I fired off the same business myself.
Thanks for the awesome tips. It's really helpful and appreciated 🤟
What area are you in that is charging 250 for a bed load?
I’m glad to see someone is doing this without having a huge newer truck. The smaller trucks are real workhorses 💪🏾
I remember this like it was yesterday. Can’t believe it’s been nearly three years!
I see you started a removal junk service, I would recommend for your truck is a Headache Rack for your F150. Keeps your back window from breaking or having something come into the cab and cause harm. The Headache Rack also helps with tie down points and lets you put longer objects into your truck like ladders and conduit pole. I have a truck and doing scrapping metal on the side. The rack is hands down a must if your moving all types of stuff. Keep up the Hustle your doing great....
@@compilationdump8510 what’s a steal. I would buy that on the spot if I could just find a fuckin truck for sale lol
im glad im not the only one that still says "bones" and "doll hairs"
hell yeah man. keep up the Hustle.
Haha I couldn't stop even if I tried 🤣
Dude you need to add wood to the sides of the bed. This way you can haul more charge more and drive less. Good luck...
I plan on it 🤟🙌
ive been doing it for over a year now its good money, save up for a dump trailer!
I'm working on it haha!
Rent until you have enough business because you'll save money and avoid going into debt.
When the police siren came on my anxiety went up 😬
My local landfill charges 69 dollars minimum for anything under 3 yards, then above 3 yards it's 17 dollars/yard regardless of if your trailer/truck has anything in it. If you got a 10 yard trailer you get charged 170 dollars whether it has one chair or is packed full. They also don't charge by weight unless you have a dump truck doing commercial work. Also, they just guess your yardage eyeballing it. I build up walls on my truck to get to 4 yards and the lady eyeballed it and charged me for 6.5 yards and argued that she had been doing this long enough to know, despite the fact I measured it in cm and calculated the space to within .1 cubic yard. They have no competition and are heavily subsidized by the government.
Half the competition just dumps illegally or bounces between dumpsters in public spaces due to this corruption.
Pure inspiration! You've got me thinking like you now.
Thank so much, I love to hear it 🤟👍
I have my Silverado and a Craigslist ad up and am 17. Made many mistakes but am always learning. Doing something like this makes you humble. Saving my money for future investments. By far one of the best businesses to get into at a young age.
Thanks for your energy and the great video. Totally disserves sub and like!!
You can add pvc pipes to hold your broom and shovel in the back. Take a look at some modified trucks for landscaping. My dad was a professional landscaper and he did some creative things with his truck. He even had a truck that had a hydro lift and it was great to dump all the grass trimmings at the city dump. You’ll want to check your city laws around modified trucks but I am sure you’ll do your research! Love what you’re doing on this channel and can’t wait to see how you progress.
hOLY crap your channel took a big jump recently! congrats!!!!
Tip for next time. The type trolly you used at the storage units is made to be pulled not pushed like a shopping cart. Next time try pulling it behind you. Its gana be loads easier
haha lesson learned 👍
Dude, since you have the camera there, you should be asking these guys to give you video testimonials that you can use on your site/socials for mission movers! You're killin it man! I've had the junk removal thing in the back of my mind for a long time now but sat on it... From the research I've done, it can be quite lucrative. Good stuff man!

A bit of advice from an old owner of moving business owner of eleven years. When having a large cart full of boxes and such, you should PULL not Push the cart and this prevent you bumping into walls and potentially damging building of furniture.
Good job. Keep up the good work.
Idk if you have thought about this but for the junk removal you can take some plywood and install it even temporarily on the side of your truck bed about 3 or 4 feet higher than the bed so you can throw much more junk in there and your bed doesn’t get full so quickly! With bigger jobs that pay a flat rate not per truck load this will help you move quicker and get on to the next job! Time is money! Love the channel dude. Always anticipating every episode! Keep it up.

For the last job you should take the metal to the scrapyard so you could sell it for tin shred.
Not a bad idea!
My furniture hustle is poppin. But like you said the timing on it can be frustrating because you have to sit and wait for things to sell. Great money in it though. I also have been planning on starting a junk removal/moving business. Its easy to build those businesses out of the furniture flipping side hustle because they are all so closely related. Stay on that hustle 👏🏼

You should call around to local junk removal companies to get their rates so you’ll have a ballpark figure of what you want to charge.
Don't call them yourself. Get your friends to call them.

Get a back support belt - you're young but still vulnerable as a biped :-) It doesn't have to be power lifter hernia support but the ones used by the home center employees provide some support but more importantly forces you to bend properly. Best of luck and thanks for sharing your journey!
One thing you might want to look at buying is the load lock/load bar from Harbor Freight. If you're moving just a few items instead of a full bed load, it's a quick and easy option for securing items without messing with straps or nets. Also, if you need to run and fill up multiple fuel cans for any reason, you can use the load bar to keep them all at the back of the bed against the tailgate and not sliding around. Cheap investment that's well worth the money. Good luck on the new businss! #Good
I did see that when I was shopping around. Almost pulled the trigger on it lol. Maybe next time 🤟 #good
Don't hurt yourself man. You might want to get a back belt for the lifting.
An object in motion tends to stay in motion 😉😂. Only kidding, I appreciate it!
If you don’t take scrap metal in to get cash you need to find a scrapper that will take it off you hands. This way you have lower weight to dump, less gas used, and might save dump fees.

Go to a thriftstore and buy some old towels, blankets etc. You don't want to scratch their stuff. man those dump fees where you're at are amazing! In CA my minimum charge for a pickup load even if its 100 pounds is $65 flat
Yes our dump fees are crazy low in comparison to many other places.
$50 for two hours worth of work? If you keep charging that and don't raise your prices you will not be in business long! Don't forget about your maintenance your oil changes your tires your brakes your insurance premiums are going to go up that's a given plus the intangibles you can't count on like it took a little longer. If you're going to remain in business you need to raise your prices and have a minimum of at least $79 an hour or a pickup. Good luck to you and thanks for the video
Love the channel man! I hope all of this works out for you, it’s such a great and inspiring series!
Thank you Noah! We're going all the way 🤟
Great video. I really enjoy your adventures for the side hustle. One thing I thought about is make sure you check your tires regularly. I have picked up nails/screws several times from the dump. Good luck and keep these videos coming.
I appreciate the heads up! I'm worried about that too 😵
I keep a tire plug kit and an inflator in each of my trucks. I can plug a tire without removing the wheel from the truck. I've used it more times to help others than to fix my own tires.
In my UA-cam favorites I made a folder called empire building. Your vids are the top content man. Keep putting out great content we all appreciate it!!
Look for a headache rack for your pickup truck ,or something to keep you from breaking out your back window and safety. speaking from experience you don't want to experience brother
I know a guy who does this and gets paid to clear stuff out of houses and such he brings everything to an auction house and people usually buy everything! Double dip
Also, I’m wondering if he has a place to store metal scrap. He could sell his scrap when he’s got a big load. More double dipping.
I watch Mike the Scavenger 😂
By episode 50 you'll be parking at the top of the slope if you have to keep pushing those monster loads up that hill haha. No skipping leg day for you!
I've been flipping furniture but one of my biggest profit flips are kayaks.
You need a trailer bud, really helps with your expenses at the dump.
nice job. you may want to invest in a battery blower to keep the truck bed clean. save a portion of the earnings and invest in a heavy duty truck and a dump trailer. used stuff works just as good as new

Great job I’m gonna subscribe buddy hope all the junk removal brothers can keep this going for are team.
Just an idea, when you do cleanouts maybe you could try and separate any metal to scrap as well as take to the dump? Make some extra $ of it's there.
Solid idea. I'm going to look in to that 👍
Yes, extra money in scrap. If you can, separate it as you load. Keep a bucket if room for copper. Attach a magnet in back to identify ferrous. In my neighborhood, So Cal, guys drive around usually on Sunday’s looking for metal left on the curb for free stuff. I put some old doors out and someone snagged the hinges and knobs. Another person took the actual door.
I just put an old glass shelf out. Someone snagged the frame and left the glass shelves, but they fit in the recycle bin. Lots of You Tubes about scrapping. I like TheDreamCar. Greg Zanis’s channel. He passed away but was a scrapper and the man making the white crosses for mass shooting victims.
@@ambrlie06 yeah I scrap in my town in Northern IL and make some extra cash. Not too much, but it is just something to do to get outside other than fishing ha.
This is great potential for you to get furniture to sell that cost you nothing. During hurricane season I suspect you’ll be getting a ton of calls for junk removal. Wait until you get a dump trailer, will only take you 5 minutes at the dump.👍🏻👍🏻
