Yes, I can attest to this through personal experience. The following 3 things happen 90 per cent of the time. First, we worry about what doesn't happen (On several occasions, I worried about the shortage of my financial resources, but discovered that I had money I was unaware of, or money wasn't that difficult to come by.) Second, even when correctly anticipated to some extent, the event is not nearly as bad as we had imagined. In fact, it sometimes turns out surprisingly pleasant. Third, the anticipated event has some silver lining, or turns out to be a blessing in disguise (pardon the cliche). In hindsight, we see that aspects were pleasurable, and the difficulties led to growth and increased mental and/or physical strength. Yet this recognition doesn't entirely dissolve anxiety to which I'm prone.

Currently we just have one type of coping card that we usually give out to our live clients, but happy to send you one. Just email us (info@paloaltotherapy.com) your mailing address and request for the anxiety coping card and we will send you a couple :)
