Thanks for keeping it real. I just came home from doing the Langtang trek and some days I was struggling SO much. I’ve actually come back to watch some videos I’d saved before the trip and glad to find this one again, because I was thinking I was crazy to be the only person in the world to struggle in any way at the beginning of the trek!
I remember my tears falling from my eyes on day 1 of trekking to that place with group of my classmates as I couldn’t just sit back and keep up the speed to not to get left out.. But from day 2, I was always ahead walking in front.. somehow got used to walking and climbing.. and I am 25 too..
Just watched all of your videos from Nepal Stay safe and cheers from Kathmandu! Also just wanna say that in most treks in Nepal, the first or second days are always the most difficult ones but you must always carry on as the reward in the end is much much big and amazing.
Just subscribed your channel and has been binge watching! I was going insane in self- isolation day 42, thank you for keeping me entertained. Love your smile❤
One of the most awesome, worth it trek to langtang. I have also gone trek with college mates. It was amazing. You can't giveup on your way otherwise it's gonna be hard. One of my friend was about to giveup but she didn't. Just need to get motivated to reach your awesome destination 😁🙂🙂 great video.
Nice video. It reminded me of my visit to langtang. We went from Sundari jal to gosaikunda which took us 4 days trekking. Walking all day and sleeping in tent in the middle of jungle preparing your own food. That was amazing experience i had.
Watching all ur Travel videos of my home country from Adelaide, Australia ...loving all those views and is one of my dream to do hiking in Langtang...please Upload more and travel more ...n be safe around.
I was there during 2015 earthquake, i camped in place call sermathang village! I did have altitude sickness being a Nepali, it was wired, when i visited the Army camp at the top of that village!
me and my two friends did our langtang trek in 2017 and we reached the langtang valley in one and a half day. We did not stay at the lama hotel as we were willing to walk and could walk so we kept going on and rather stayed at the only 'riverside hotel'. The initial 5-6 hours of this trek is challenging and tough but totally worth it. The trek gets comfortable after you pass the riverside hotel. Staying at the lama hotel is not ''necessary'' but if you want to take it slow and take your time with the trek then why not. My respect for the porters went way up above when i witnessed them carrying weights and walking up and down the trails.
Was on the same trek last year in november. will recommend Tserko Ri instead of Kyanjin Ri for anyone reading. If you stay there long enough at Kyanjin Gompa, you could try climbing both peaks.
You should interact with local people, in my opinion! Just suggesting. Waiting for Harold to reach Langthang, Waiting for his vlog. Good luck for your future vlog, enjoyed it thanx.
Were you using any electrolyte supplements? I'm debating making the sacrifice in extra weight in my pack to bring electrolyte supplements. I sweat easily and in my current life use electrolytes daily to prevent muscle cramps....wondering if maybe that was part of what you had going on. Is the food there salty at all?
Namaste 🙏 Will, are you going to do trek in Everest region ? I did heli flight from Kathmandu to EBC which was brilliant then did trek 7 months later, trek much more rewarding but exhausting
You should take rest of minimum 2days after the travel of 8 -10 hours by bus it’s obvious you would feel weak if you are going to trek you should prepare yourself physically, mentally etc etc by the way I love your vlogs and I’m also 25 years old cheers 🥂
Breast feeding is legal in Nepal, here people next to mom don't feel anything wrong. They're so open minded, kind hearted and patience enough to struggle for their livelihood.
@@anonymously5367 I think its more that it's not something you see often in certain countries. You're right, breastfeeding in public should be normalized, but unfortunately in many countries, it isn't. Where I live it's not. Women are expected to be a bit discreet rather than just popping a boob out where everyone can see. I don't agree, but sadly that's how it is.
I'm looking for a guide for the Langtang Valley Trek we're planning to do in April. Just a guide and porter, direct hire. We don't want to go through tour outfits as they charge rather huge fees. Do you have referrals?
Poor Wills lad! You should have at least hiked up and down in Brecon Beacons ranges in Wales that would have been helpful lol anyway I already knew that you are not from wales but no excuse not having been up the beautiful Pen-Y-Fan
Because "highly recommended" does not mean required. But if you are a single trekker and can afford a guide, i think you should get one. It is safer and more fun trekking with someone. You could find other trekkers but you would have to adjust your pace and schedule with them which is not always easy. Speaking from experience, i would have been happier with my trek if I wasn't alone all the time.
@@WillsWhereabouts 😎thank you brother for accpting my words, dont know the cauz but most of peoples, ignores my words,or i'll say they ignores me😎👍💛,🙏🤝✊👍⛰🌳✌.
You were struggling big time because you forgot to put your backpack weight on your hips which sould carry 99% of your luggage...rather than on your sholders...lots of people make that mistake...ha ha next time remember that....ok...
hey man . i can hear them speking my language which is not sherpa nor tibetan but apsolute hyolmo language .hopefully u had that currect statement in your mind. 😌

in my experience, Langtang valley trek upto kyanjin gompa was easiest trek till date. But from Kyanjin upto Tsergo Ri it was a long long journey.

Hi
Can you tell me if you took any special insurance for these treks?
(Any recommendations)?
best month to go for trekking is during November and December
What kind of preparation did you have before you left England
Not a huge amount but I’m always active so was generally fit
You should take rest of minimum 2days after the travel of 8 -10 hours by bus it’s obvious you would feel weak if you are going to trek you should prepare yourself physically, mentally etc etc by the way I love your vlogs and I’m also 25 years old cheers 🥂

your rbc and hemoglobin level might have increased after this treating.. you gained more power cheers.
Hi, so it was no problem doing the langtang trek alone without a guide? Cause everyone keeps saying a guide is “highly recommended“
Because "highly recommended" does not mean required. But if you are a single trekker and can afford a guide, i think you should get one. It is safer and more fun trekking with someone. You could find other trekkers but you would have to adjust your pace and schedule with them which is not always easy.
