They refuse to let their work be edited, their work has unironically creepy themes with zero self-critique or self-analysis, the self-insertion is painfully obvious because they can't imagine the experience of anyone but themselves, and any critique they get falls on deaf ears and is chalked up to stupidity ("people are too stupid to get what I was going for") or haters ("people are just jealous"). I think the way I would introduce the stillborn baby would be something like: _By chance, I looked up from whatever I was doing. A distant red glow moved in a straight line, obscured behind the wall. It traveled at the speed of a car up our gravel driveway. "Somebody bagged a dear, probably." I perked at the thought of venison for dinner. The glow came up the driveway, came through the sliding glass door. On second thought, it was small. Like a chicken dinner. Less fun, but whatever. I could've used a break from homework at that moment. I rounded the corner. My face fell. It was a pregnant woman's stomach._ Shitty rough draft of a scene there, but I guess you get the idea.

Amelia James i know, me too! the only time that having an 11 year old use such sophisticated language like that is if they’re established to be an extremely intelligent and wellspoken person. but for one daniel isn’t established to be that, and second that only really works in cartoons and things that aren’t trying to be realistic. for example, edd from ed edd n eddy was very smart and had a very wide vocabulary, but because that cartoon wasn’t trying to be realistic and dramatic they were able to make edd, a young boy, as intelligent as an extremely clever adult, because the intelligence is emphasised for plot purposes (such as jokes and having him invent stuff for them to use). but with this book it just doesn’t work when daniel talks like an intelligent adult. idk, sorry about this very incoherent rant XD

Khanay Udash yeah, that’s fair enough. i know that some people in real life are very eloquent at a young age, but with daniel it doesn’t seem like he has the intelligence (at school or with his actions) to be that well spoken. also he doesn’t really ever do it in his dialogue - i noticed in his dialogue he was just direct and simple with his language, and the contrast just doesn’t work. if it was more consistent and he was consistently shown to be an intelligent young boy it probably could have worked. but alas, that didn’t happen because onision wrote this book XD

The parts where he "accidentally" self-inserts himself as Greg reminds me of the scene from The Office where Michael wrote a script and made Dwight the dumbass character and replaced his name but missed one "Dwigt"
It reminds me more of that episode of How I Met Your Mother where a dude wrote a movie where Ted was obviously the main villain, and how at the end the script gave up and straight up call the antagonist "Ted Mosby."
so, fun fact: i impulse wrote a bad fanfiction in 2018 because i felt like it. there was no plot, foreshadowing, or meaningful character depth, mostly because i felt like writing and i was 13. in the first 25 (there were 50) chapters i consistently used the wrong their/there/they’re, your/you’re and to/too, and there were multiple pov changes and a few accidental tense changes. i wholeheartedly believe it is better than this.
Oh, same. back in 2020 when I was still in High School or something, I began working on a mecha story cause I couldn't find any and was too lazy to watch mecha anime. A year and a half later, I've written a grand total of 2 chapters, with both of those chapters having so much stuff I need to fill in that I may as well have a single unfinished chapter. I also have no clue how to continue it beyond that, cause despite my ability to plan ahead, I'm bad at writing out the words and procrastinate way too often. Yet, this 1/30th or so of a book with very little editing (and probably a lot of mistakes) is infinitely better than whatever Onion guy made.

I’m wondering if the whole alien/God/superpowers thing wasn’t intended to begin with, it was meant to be just about this normal self insert kids life but then onision got distracted and wrote a self insert power fantasy.

@@subtotalaljar3620 Sort of. There are these things in Metro called The Dark Ones who have an alien nature to them. SPOILERS It's revealed in the end that they were evolved people who don't directly attack humans. They instead attempt to make peaceful contact with humans, but their psychic capabilities are kind of akin to a cosmic horror, in that normal humans are unable to comprehend it. The character can see some of their peaceful messages, but is unable to understand their intent until just before he rains down death upon them.
In every book of his, has he called most characters humans or insert anything you would never call people, it's like all his mc's are aliens on earth while being a humongous narssasists and psychopaths.
Max V writing on a phone is totally doable, but one should NEVER edit on a phone. And no one should do what Onision did and write on a phone with NO editing.

As someone who grew up genuinely isolated and lonely, I do understand the whole 'the woods are my friend' thing, but like... they were my friend because I could wander in them and day dream for hours. Not because I anthropomophized the trees.
He legitimately couldn't, though. For one, Krimson isn't using any clips of Onision himself outside of maybe a still or 2 & talking about him. Second, this is an actual review with deep criticisms. Onision only strikes down videos that he knows he can try to do that to. He would have NO legal stance of which to back up any of his claims that these videos violate copyright because it's just Krimson talking about the book. Frankly, the copyright owners of the clips Krim uses to exsensuate his points or comedy would have more of a right to claim parts of this video than Onision would.

I wish the scene with the stillborn was much, much more serious. It's a heartbreaking situation. Imagine your friend is pregnant, but only for you to gain the ability and see the dead *glow* and you just so happen to see her stomach gleaming. How would you tell her? Should you tell her? It would be amazing internal conflict for the character.

The CP in his third book is actually based on his personal life. It's not really an issue per se until you realize he's glorifying it (or at the *very* least make it sound like it's something beautiful and romantic).
There are some who always saw it. Honestly if it weren't for those like Repzion and Blaire White i don't think he and Kai would have been investigated like they are now. The first couple of interviews with Hansen were with them. So glad that they spoke up for as many years as they have! Repzion has been exposing Greg for 9 years.
I think the best “powers with consequences” story I’ve seen so far is Madoka. And the fact it blindsides you with pretending to be another “kid gains magic powers, monster of the week who threatens her city, she and her friends fight, everything turns out fine” deal at first is handled fantastically
I love that show. I love the magical girl theme entirely like transformations, magic, outfits, everything that leads up to how and why they become one and PMMM takes a turn when you realize it's not this happy, bubbly Mahou Shoujo. It's dark, and beautiful in a scary, sad way.

In the same vein, the anime Yuuki Yuuna is a hero deals with a similar premise. While I still prefer Madoka for how blind I went into watching that anime at the time and how truly well executed it is, Yuuki Yuuna still devastated me.

SAiKA this sounds creepy but here I go: I need sound to sleep. Not rain or crickets but the sound of people talking or something I can sort of pay attention to but can also let my mind slip away if need be. I play his videos. They’re long enough, they’re funny, they’re interesting, plus I’ve seen them all so it’s easy to finally decide to shut down and sleep. I found this guy also while looking into Onision and now this is how I go to sleep. It’s someone telling me a story with funny critiques. It’s perfect. Don’t block me, KrimsonRogue.

Did you see amazon reviews for the books? Go read them. It's golden! Here's one that I especially loved by someone named Hayley: Reaper's Creek is an abomination in the form of pages bound together. This plot is incoherent word salad that reads as though it was written up by a preschool child with poor imagination. Story lines are constantly set up and then promptly abandoned for boring scenarios at home and school, and character relations are poorly built up and then tossed for no reason. A dead body is found in a creek at one point and Onision talks about it for maybe two paragraphs and we never hear about it again (or if it somehow was, it was lost in the unnecessary rambling and I missed it) . The characters are poorly written and unrealistic with flat, robotic dialogue. What's even more appalling is the explicit sexual scenes between Daniel/Greg, the 11 year old protagonist, and a 16 year old girl named Julia that's seen as positive and playful. He also only refers to a boy in Special Ed as "The Special Ed Kid" and offers no other defining features other than the fact he's disabled, and then compared the alien antagonist in the story to said boy (who, mind you, meets a very graphic death). I wish I could offer some kind of plot summary for this book, but it's so poorly written and incoherent I can't even begin to try. If you've read Onision's other books, you've read this one. They're all the same nonsense with a different obscure conflict. This book isn't even "so bad it's good", it's "so bad it's boring". I was genuinely yawning at some points because it was mentally exhausting to read because it takes that much mental labor to comprehend whats being said. 0/10, I would rather eject myself into the sun than read this again.

Ok listen up. I’ve been noticing a trend in how Onision writes his mom in the books, and I'm trying to illustrate this with my very own experiences. See, up until a year ago, I loved my mother like nothing else in the entire world, going so far as to stay with her when she moved out of my dad's house, even though I realized it meant a life in poverty (she isn’t earning much because she can’t be stressed, can’t even work the full 8 hours). My entire 15 years until that day I always loved my mom more than my dad, enjoyed her company more and even believed her when she spoke about how my dad was 'manipulating' her and all the bad things she spread about him. However, around February/March 2020, she kicked me out of the house, suddenly and without forewarning. With all the screaming and destroying furniture that comes with it. That night, as I was stumbling through the night without shoes, a phone or even a jacket (I leapt out of the window in fear, we lived on the ground floor), that was the single most terrified I’ve ever been. Every few steps I turned around, afraid she was following me, and I didn’t sleep two more days after that even as I was safe at my dad's house until I eventually collapsed. Now, a year later, I'm pretty sure I know what led to that. My mom has diagnosed depression, always had even when I was a kid, but that’s no excuse. She’d been manipulating me into believing the things dad did for me and her always had some malicious background. And around the time of her kicking me out, I’d started to hang out more with my dad, even openly questioning whether or not she was actually as much of a victim as she was making herself out to be. Hell, I even just realized that she was making fun of my dad when he contacted her about potentially suicidal thoughts. The point I'm trying to make is that I assume that Onisions mother abused him in an emotional way just they way my own mother did, but he just never came to fully realize it. And I assume that he’s unconsciously trying to process that trauma in his books. As I said, there is absolutely no proof to what I'm saying, it’s just the way I’d interpret how his mom always seem neglectful yet loved by his self-inserts. And, this was kinda therapeutic to talk about, so thanks for reading all the way through.
Thank you for writing this all out. In many ways I feel that I can relate to this. My mother spent many years in an institute and I helped her through all of this from 9 -16 (when I left for good). Through the drugs, electroshock, all of it, I did everything and was told how terrible my father was. Unfortunately I was going through my own kind of grooming and becoming her caretaker/surrogate spouse. But it gets both complicated and dull from there.

Amelia James i know, me too! the only time that having an 11 year old use such sophisticated language like that is if they’re established to be an extremely intelligent and wellspoken person. but for one daniel isn’t established to be that, and second that only really works in cartoons and things that aren’t trying to be realistic. for example, edd from ed edd n eddy was very smart and had a very wide vocabulary, but because that cartoon wasn’t trying to be realistic and dramatic they were able to make edd, a young boy, as intelligent as an extremely clever adult, because the intelligence is emphasised for plot purposes (such as jokes and having him invent stuff for them to use). but with this book it just doesn’t work when daniel talks like an intelligent adult. idk, sorry about this very incoherent rant XD

Honestly the prose reminds me of when I was 8-10 years old
so, fun fact: i impulse wrote a bad fanfiction in 2018 because i felt like it. there was no plot, foreshadowing, or meaningful character depth, mostly because i felt like writing and i was 13. in the first 25 (there were 50) chapters i consistently used the wrong their/there/they’re, your/you’re and to/too, and there were multiple pov changes and a few accidental tense changes. i wholeheartedly believe it is better than this.
Oh, same. back in 2020 when I was still in High School or something, I began working on a mecha story cause I couldn't find any and was too lazy to watch mecha anime.
A year and a half later, I've written a grand total of 2 chapters, with both of those chapters having so much stuff I need to fill in that I may as well have a single unfinished chapter. I also have no clue how to continue it beyond that, cause despite my ability to plan ahead, I'm bad at writing out the words and procrastinate way too often.
Yet, this 1/30th or so of a book with very little editing (and probably a lot of mistakes) is infinitely better than whatever Onion guy made.
I have dyslexia and I still believe I make less mistakes when I write my stories

It's revealed in the end that they were evolved people who don't directly attack humans. They instead attempt to make peaceful contact with humans, but their psychic capabilities are kind of akin to a cosmic horror, in that normal humans are unable to comprehend it. The character can see some of their peaceful messages, but is unable to understand their intent until just before he rains down death upon them.
Onision doesn't know how to human. He can't write them because he doesn't know how they think. It's a common trait in sociopaths.
In every book of his, has he called most characters humans or insert anything you would never call people, it's like all his mc's are aliens on earth while being a humongous narssasists and psychopaths.

He would have NO legal stance of which to back up any of his claims that these videos violate copyright because it's just Krimson talking about the book. Frankly, the copyright owners of the clips Krim uses to exsensuate his points or comedy would have more of a right to claim parts of this video than Onision would.

The CP in his third book is actually based on his personal life. It's not really an issue per se until you realize he's glorifying it (or at the *very* least make it sound like it's something beautiful and romantic).
There are some who always saw it. Honestly if it weren't for those like Repzion and Blaire White i don't think he and Kai would have been investigated like they are now. The first couple of interviews with Hansen were with them. So glad that they spoke up for as many years as they have! Repzion has been exposing Greg for 9 years.

I think the best “powers with consequences” story I’ve seen so far is Madoka. And the fact it blindsides you with pretending to be another “kid gains magic powers, monster of the week who threatens her city, she and her friends fight, everything turns out fine” deal at first is handled fantastically

I love that show. I love the magical girl theme entirely like transformations, magic, outfits, everything that leads up to how and why they become one and PMMM takes a turn when you realize it's not this happy, bubbly Mahou Shoujo. It's dark, and beautiful in a scary, sad way.
In the same vein, the anime Yuuki Yuuna is a hero deals with a similar premise. While I still prefer Madoka for how blind I went into watching that anime at the time and how truly well executed it is, Yuuki Yuuna still devastated me.

Did you see amazon reviews for the books? Go read them. It's golden! Here's one that I especially loved by someone named Hayley:
Reaper's Creek is an abomination in the form of pages bound together. This plot is incoherent word salad that reads as though it was written up by a preschool child with poor imagination. Story lines are constantly set up and then promptly abandoned for boring scenarios at home and school, and character relations are poorly built up and then tossed for no reason. A dead body is found in a creek at one point and Onision talks about it for maybe two paragraphs and we never hear about it again (or if it somehow was, it was lost in the unnecessary rambling and I missed it) . The characters are poorly written and unrealistic with flat, robotic dialogue.
What's even more appalling is the explicit sexual scenes between Daniel/Greg, the 11 year old protagonist, and a 16 year old girl named Julia that's seen as positive and playful. He also only refers to a boy in Special Ed as "The Special Ed Kid" and offers no other defining features other than the fact he's disabled, and then compared the alien antagonist in the story to said boy (who, mind you, meets a very graphic death).
I wish I could offer some kind of plot summary for this book, but it's so poorly written and incoherent I can't even begin to try. If you've read Onision's other books, you've read this one. They're all the same nonsense with a different obscure conflict. This book isn't even "so bad it's good", it's "so bad it's boring". I was genuinely yawning at some points because it was mentally exhausting to read because it takes that much mental labor to comprehend whats being said.

Ok listen up. I’ve been noticing a trend in how Onision writes his mom in the books, and I'm trying to illustrate this with my very own experiences.
See, up until a year ago, I loved my mother like nothing else in the entire world, going so far as to stay with her when she moved out of my dad's house, even though I realized it meant a life in poverty (she isn’t earning much because she can’t be stressed, can’t even work the full 8 hours). My entire 15 years until that day I always loved my mom more than my dad, enjoyed her company more and even believed her when she spoke about how my dad was 'manipulating' her and all the bad things she spread about him.
However, around February/March 2020, she kicked me out of the house, suddenly and without forewarning. With all the screaming and destroying furniture that comes with it. That night, as I was stumbling through the night without shoes, a phone or even a jacket (I leapt out of the window in fear, we lived on the ground floor), that was the single most terrified I’ve ever been. Every few steps I turned around, afraid she was following me, and I didn’t sleep two more days after that even as I was safe at my dad's house until I eventually collapsed.
Now, a year later, I'm pretty sure I know what led to that. My mom has diagnosed depression, always had even when I was a kid, but that’s no excuse. She’d been manipulating me into believing the things dad did for me and her always had some malicious background. And around the time of her kicking me out, I’d started to hang out more with my dad, even openly questioning whether or not she was actually as much of a victim as she was making herself out to be.
Hell, I even just realized that she was making fun of my dad when he contacted her about potentially suicidal thoughts.
The point I'm trying to make is that I assume that Onisions mother abused him in an emotional way just they way my own mother did, but he just never came to fully realize it. And I assume that he’s unconsciously trying to process that trauma in his books.
As I said, there is absolutely no proof to what I'm saying, it’s just the way I’d interpret how his mom always seem neglectful yet loved by his self-inserts.
And, this was kinda therapeutic to talk about, so thanks for reading all the way through.

My mother spent many years in an institute and I helped her through all of this from 9 -16 (when I left for good). Through the drugs, electroshock, all of it, I did everything and was told how terrible my father was. Unfortunately I was going through my own kind of grooming and becoming her caretaker/surrogate spouse.
But it gets both complicated and dull from there.
Woah. That's messed up, not gonna lie. And it's sad that things like these have to happen in the first place. In all honesty, I hope you're in a better mental place now, and I wish you the best.
