Wow...
I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what this song is about (I'm from Germany and understand no single word of these radio "sessions"; I just LOVE the sound of the amazing language, the unique atmosphere, and of course the stunningly beautiful music. I listen to them next to my work and sometimes while my breaks with a pot of tea or coffee - or now when a piece of music appears that magically takes my whole attention.)
What is the name of that piece? A lil description of the lyrics?
I didn't know it either but I looked up the first line and apparently it's called Úr-Chnoc Chéin Mhic Cáinte! I can't understand all the words either but if you google the title you should be able to find a translation of a pretty similar version of the lyrics on a forum called Mudcat
I love that Nia Ni Bhiern got some solo tunes and solo songs! You can really see her skill!
Thanks for that Shea, we're glad you enjoyed.
I wish they would just list the names of the songs!
I actually like Nia's version of "The frost is all over" better than Con Cassidy's version! I can comprehend it so much better!
Wonderful! Thank-you!
Is maith go bhfuil sé seo anseo san áit seo ar na UA-cams.
What's the song they sing around 1:14:00?? Thanks for this wonderful program--what a gift!
Liostáil Mé Le Sáirsint (I Listed with a Sergeant)
Whats the name of the Song at 50.20??
Beidh Aonach Amárach i gCondae an Chláir! (There's a Fair Tomorrow in County Clare)--It's a pretty popular children's song and I think it's pretty commonly taught in Irish language classes too. This version is one that she says Brían Ó Domhnaill (a well-known chef from Donegal) got from Connemara
@@williammcnamara6769 thank you very much!
This rendition is similar to the one on the album (Another Sky) -- pretty straightforward. Once I heard Mairead play it with a different tempo (faster) and also louder. It was something.
