Man, what a legend Carrol is...his feedback on the board is straight up from the annals of wisdom. More fin behind the flyer limiting the turnability of the board, of course. I have an album twinsman that looks a bit similar to this shape (with almost the exact dimensions) I'm and still trying to unlock its full potential.
Have a look at Tom's first wave. You can see he's struggling a bit. Too far forward, like he mentioned later in the vid. I've got something similar to your Twinsman, and I struggle to get the best out of it, until I get back on the tail. Then it gets so responsive, I struggle to keep up with it.
That was a Skip Frye wooden keel twin fin Tommy was surfing in 1992. The board was shaped in 1978. San Diego/Ocean Beach/La Jolla has hands down the best twin fin shapers.
