Life after school can feel exciting yet overwhelming at the same time. It's a new chapter in life where you have to navigate through the uncertainties and challenges that come with adulthood. There's a sense of freedom and independence, but also the pressure to figure out your career path and make important life decisions. It can feel like a mix of excitement and anxiety as you start a new job, move to a new city, or pursue further education. You may miss the structure and routine of school life, but also enjoy the flexibility and opportunities that come with being out in the real world. There's a sense of liberation in being able to make your own choices and follow your passions, but also the weight of responsibility and the need to establish yourself in the competitive job market. Overall, life after school can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's also a time of growth, learning, and self-discovery. It's a chance to explore your interests, build meaningful relationships, and create the life you want for yourself.
Yes Yes YES to the point about gap years!!! I went to college straight after high school and it was a miserable experience because at that moment in time I just wasn't ready to go back to school especially because for the most part high school was a miserable experience. I ended up dropping out after one semester and transferred to another school the next fall semester and I really wish I took a gap year to work and save money. School won't go anywhere so take your time!
honestly i feel like gap years are for people with money, if i were to personally take a gap year i think id lose every opportunity i currently have including connections with people
My biggest advice for the people who are in college: it’s what you make out of it. I went to a local college, not #1 in my class but not using AI to get by either. You can’t expect to go in and leave with a degree and make the monies by skimming through. I actively learned, asked questions, did assignments etc… and because of that I felt like I was able to present myself more confidently to my employers and able to land a really good job.

pro tip for college, if you're group members don't do any work document and screenshot everything showing the times you asked for updates, etc. and then go to the prof with this information and ask if you can simply hand in the assignment alone so the deadweights don't get grades for it. Most profs aren't lazy so they'll naturally take your side if you have all the proof and you'll get a good grade for the hard work YOU did and not your deadweight group.
Never attended my high school graduation, i hated it some much. I took extra summer classes to get out sooner. I was on a bus the basic military training when my classmates were walking on stage. I doing better them most of my classmates, own my own business and make my own schedule.

To everyone doing their homework, breathe slowly, take a sip of water, and focus. To everyone who is trying to sleep, leave the chat, grab a blanket, and get the rest you deserve. To everyone who is sad, grab a snack, have some water, get a blanket, and write down your thoughts. When you're done, lay down and get some rest, no matter the time. To everyone who is creating, you got this. Your creation looks terrific. Remain in your flow and get stuff done! These are not my words but spread them and copy paste

Took a few months off with doing small mowing jobs and went on lots of “side quest” and loved it. Now I have another full time with state and it’s amazing. Doesn’t feel like squirdward doing same thing all day every day. Y’all just gotta find what u wanna do. Lots of experimenting
I graduated high school in 2020. We all got sent home in march and we kinda all automatically graduated. After being out for 4 years ive noticed that there's a lot of nothing i do most days. And thats something i try my best to avoid but when no one talks to you and all you have to do is online homework for college classes it can be depressing. Honestly my biggest piece of advice for someone graduating high school if they aren't quite sure what they want to do is to take a gap year. I mean youve been going to school every year since you were 5. Take some time off. If you can travel do that. Or stay at home and work a job and save up as much as you can. Take the year off to figure stuff out
For most people, it all boils down to In high school my food, house, car and clothes were all paid for. Food was ready everyday, parents did most of my chores. School was super easy and homework took 2 minutes to finish. I could spend the rest of the time playing games or hanging out with friends using my parents car and money. Dating was pure and not constantly complicated by adult matters like bills, payments, cleaning, taxes, etc etc and in any case were paid for by parents too This, VS As an adult, university is hella expensive, rent is expensive, holy shit why does simply staying alive and healthy cost so much????? I have to pay for everything, manage all of own stuff, cook, clean and wash everything myself. Even if your parents are still supporting you financially (which in this day and age is pretty much a must to afford university) you are still mentally on your own in a sense. Like, they might pay for your groceries but you still have to go physically get it yourself. Not to mention engineering is in itself the equivalent of a full time job including weekends. If you are unlucky and your parents essentially cut off all financial help at 18, well good luck in this day and age... All your friends also are now bogged down by these adult things and cant hang out as much, life becomes a lot more complicated once you actually become independent. Being an adult really gives you an appreciation of just how brutal the 2nd law of thermodynamics is and also gives you so much more appreciation for the hard work you parents did for the first 18 years of your life.
I just graduated from high school and omg is it hard I work at a gas station deli and I'm going to college I don't know what for yet I'm just going for basic classes right now and I have ADHD and AUTISM so life is tough at least my mom and stepdad aren't kicking me out right when I turn 18 and yes I graduated high school early I graduated at 17 so like a semester early
I’m currently in high school now, but I signed up for a program called p tech which is a program for technology and gives two free years of college so I don’t have to worry about anything till I’m 20 and even then I partially have it figured out

I'm almost a sophomore and about done with my freshman year. This is my last quarter and I only have 6 weeks left of it as of now. My college doesn't have dorms since it's a community college.
Best roommate I ever had was the stoner. Sure the place always had that dank stank but he was fun, quiet when I asked him to be and would often give me samples of the next "big thing" he was cooking up.
i'm 9 years old, and i already know what i wanna do for my future. i'm thinking about working at nasa, because i have loved space since 6 years old. the recent total solar eclipse has given me more inspiration, and i'm sure. it's never too late to change what you like (unless ur gonna die in 5 seconds XD)
When I went to college, I moved to the next town over where my university was. I left my parents, friends, and everything else to move out in my dorm. I got paired with some pretty bad roommates so got an apartment. Renting is kind of a scam. Your “security deposit” will never be returned, maintenance neglected, illegal repairs, cheap electric appliances, etc. Basically all 3 apartments I stayed at throughout college. After college, my landlord increased rent due to increased insurance rates for the area. I could no longer afford it, so moved back in with parents where I am today. I can’t say that college is a “scam”, but its benefits seem …questionable currently. I sure did learn about a lot of stuff, but like 70% will never be used again
Honestly If you plan on going to college, I recommend online schools or community college. I went to community college and was able to complete all of it online, and eventually switch to an online university and am working on my bachelors. (Online schools I’d recommend are Western Governors University and Purdue University). This is if you want to save time and money. But also know that time management is a skill that will need to be developed.
I have been out of high school for twenty years this past June and been out of College for eighteen years this past April & I'll admit there are sometimes I kind of miss High school and college (with a grain of salt).
I feel like I got lucky, I knew what I wanted to do sense junior year. Already got accepted to collage early my senior year and am ready to start my career. As for most of my friends, they have no clue.

I think what’s really important after high school and even college is your time management skills. It helps big time😂😂
The duck > Birdie 😂 nah but good video im at work rn watching this😂
Awesome video the duck! Keep it up!
I’m a couple months out of high school and my life has changed more in those months than in all of high school
Dropped off at my 3rd year for your same reasons, best decision ever 💯

Whoever is in middle school, high school will breeze so fast. I am a junior now and I feel like I am still a freshman.
the older you get, the faster it moves by. Which can seem nice and intimidating. Depending on how well you have set up your routine to help your future self.
Graduated at 17 and working full time in construction is taking a toll😐
Ahh Chrisfix. The best car content creator on every platform. Besides donut
Even if I hate my current life of work-home-repeat I would not want to go back to school. What a terrible place it was (teachers were fine, just the whole system is trash)
u just gotta new subscriber. your an inspiration, a genuine person, and a real one keep going brother
I loved the chris fix clip. He explains it so easy
Its actually the opposite to me bc in my school theres a lot of bullies the chairs are dirty and the toys are boring as heck there's only one slide that is broken
Same but there weren't broken toys , the people are shit though
Literally feels like you’re never doing enough
Love your content broo
I go to college 3 days a week and work minimum wage 2 days a week repairing electronics. I major in Computer Engineering.
For me, school was terrible, and I feel much better working and being at college.
I Love Your Channel & Videos
honestly i started loving school like a year ago seeing my friends everyday, messing around going out to ps rooms and stuff maybe it was the lack of socialization during covid 19 idk, but now i am a junior who moved to the U.S new country new school new culture different lifestyle and its hard yk? i have no one to hang out with and whoever i go out or hang around with leaves the feeling that they kinda dislike me but i dont care bout that i really want to make best of it
ill be a junior next year too cs of credits and stuff and hopefully next year everything will go back to the way it was in my country
My advice as someone who went through this last year, find a sport or club that you are interested in and sign up. Great way to make friends with similar interests. I got into airsoft and boxing and met tons of cool people
@@Moonshine449 my counselor recommended that
i am joining swimming next year , and sadly i could not get some medical documents in time to join a another sport since it not the season for swimming

pro tip for college, if you're group members don't do any work document and screenshot everything showing the times you asked for updates, etc. and then go to the prof with this information and ask if you can simply hand in the assignment alone so the deadweights don't get grades for it. Most profs aren't lazy so they'll naturally take your side if you have all the proof and you'll get a good grade for the hard work YOU did and not your deadweight group.
It has been 23 years since graduating from high school which is really hard to believe.
Never attended my high school graduation, i hated it some much. I took extra summer classes to get out sooner.
I was on a bus the basic military training when my classmates were walking on stage.
I doing better them most of my classmates, own my own business and make my own schedule.
Currently in grade 12, I'll join this chain soon
I was hoping you’d talk about the abandonment after HS because that was my biggest issue. I didn’t realize how few actual friends i had until school ended 😮
I feel bad for people who struggle after high school or college.
I never went to college. I joined up with the navy in 2015. Been in ever since. Got 11 years left till I retire!

The Chrisfix video was amazing 🤣🤣
Dude after school is gonna be so bad… you got to worry about taxes and crap. Then you Mr gonna have to do every chore that exists for your house because you know that your girlfriend (if you even have one) ain’t gonna do a single thing.

Been out for almost a year. Y’all don’t need to go to college or trade school. I’ve tried a full time over summer didn’t like it.
Take the year off to figure stuff out
For most people, it all boils down to
In high school my food, house, car and clothes were all paid for. Food was ready everyday, parents did most of my chores. School was super easy and homework took 2 minutes to finish. I could spend the rest of the time playing games or hanging out with friends using my parents car and money. Dating was pure and not constantly complicated by adult matters like bills, payments, cleaning, taxes, etc etc and in any case were paid for by parents too
This, VS
As an adult, university is hella expensive, rent is expensive, holy shit why does simply staying alive and healthy cost so much?????
Great animation
im a sophmore in hs so i got a few years but this has helped me realize how real things are gonna get
I just graduated from high school and omg is it hard I work at a gas station deli and I'm going to college I don't know what for yet I'm just going for basic classes right now and I have ADHD and AUTISM so life is tough at least my mom and stepdad aren't kicking me out right when I turn 18 and yes I graduated high school early I graduated at 17 so like a semester early
U actually gave me enough courage to ask a girl on a date
The after college crisis always comes back to haunt me.
I’m currently in high school now, but I signed up for a program called p tech which is a program for technology and gives two free years of college so I don’t have to worry about anything till I’m 20 and even then I partially have it figured out
For me it was the other way around, I knew from age 8 what I was going to be. School was just useless suffering and way too annoying.
Ever since I finished uni (waste of time btw don't go to uni) and started working it's been so incredibly fun!
What do you do?

i'm 9 years old, and i already know what i wanna do for my future.
i'm thinking about working at nasa, because i have loved space since 6 years old.
the recent total solar eclipse has given me more inspiration, and i'm sure.
it's never too late to change what you like (unless ur gonna die in 5 seconds XD)
I sure did learn about a lot of stuff, but like 70% will never be used again
coming from a 40 year old mom i appreciate you telling these kids the truth lol this is some great advice shit im still figuring shit out lol
i was bullied in my school. I love the adulthood.. i have peace now...
