I was Ten Hag in for the longest time. Because I’m sick of the glazers 2/3 year manager cycle. But after that shite yesterday I’m done. During the post match interview the statement was put to him that this season could possibly be Utds worst Premier league finish of all time! he refused to answer and walked off. Another reason Iv stood by him is because I thought he was a good coach, but after yesterday no chance ! he is utterly clueless, he subtly threw Garnacho under the bus as well, the lad has been shining bright all season he has one bad half of football then takes him off! Absolutely pathetic in game management. Only made 2 substitutions wouldn’t take Rashford off again and yet again Marcus was one of the worst player on the pitch. Sir Jim you need to get the finger out and get it out fast. Because we are rotton from top to bottom.

our midfield has been piss poor all season. No one can control the game in the midfield. Need a few striker, a proper midfield general, 2 new centre backs and maybe a new keeper..and manager ?
Well said i don’t blame these youngsters like kambwalla, garnacho, hojlund and mainoo they will make mistakes that’s part of being young and learning. With that said i blame it all on the veterans. Bruno is running all over the pitch and telling people what to do all game and it’s obvious hes being ignored or dismissed. Bottom line is you cant carry people in this league and united has too many overpaid passengers and it will not get better until they leave. Doesnt matter who the manager is its the same story its been for 10 years now.
I’m struggling with the dross we’re serving up, and I’m pulling my hair out at some of the constant lack of attitude and desire from a select few players that Ineos will hopefully move on (should be basics). However… who is available and an OBVIOUS improvement and almost ‘guarantee’ of success as a manager out there? The answer is 100% no-one. Of course someone might end up being amazing, but you can’t say that now with any conviction at all.
He has 1 more year left - Ineos just need to continue the background rebuild, continue restructuring the playing squad as best as they can to FFP (or whatever it’s called now), and let’s see where we are at say January next year.
I did think having a full week to train most weeks now, that we’d see an improvement in performance and playing style/patterns. However, I do feel ETH needs his main players back and say 2 or 3 new ones in to enable a psychological reset of the players mentality, as they seem to have accepted underachievement for this season now.
1 more season - or at least half the season - is a no-brainer for me. Buys Ineos time also to make changes, get the stadium good news story and vibe going, maybe announce another good news vibe with a new or improved training ground…. These things will lift the sense of gloom and also help ‘sell’ United to players we want to buy too. Afterall, a ‘resurgent, reawakening giant who will have a 90k+ brand new stadium and a brand new state of the art training ground’ is a nice selling aid for getting players through the door.

We need consistency in this team. When we fix the forwards we expose the back and then fix the backs but expose the midfield... The real thing is to just get the fundamentals right. We can't legislate for brilliant play, but we are getting hammered for sloppy play. ONana got beat at his near post and was either unsighted by Harry Maguire or just didn't move his feet to get down to Solanke's long range shot!
Concentrating on the fundamentals and making small improvements will actually reap benefits...
There are long periods of many games when we have no possession - we need to have a better understanding of our positional play when we are out of possession [we should be great at this as we have had a lot of practice over the majority of this season!]
Honestly ETH may as well just play all the substitutes bench and academy players, because he's getting sacked anyway. Go back to the Ajax roots and embrace that chaos instead of this overthinking sh it e.
We have to admit that United isn't a force to be reckoned with anymore, not even guaranteed Europa League football now, there is something very wrong at United & its rotten from top to bottom, it'll get worse before it gets better
