Brian’s been doing corporate aviation for longer than I have! I recently retired from nearly 34 years working for the largest (and #1 rated service and mods) privately owned corporate aviation company in the world. He’s not kidding about the numerous boxes of paperwork that belongs to each aircraft. I’ve pawed through those boxes more times than I care to remember, looking for wiring diagrams, electric load reports, and flight manual supplements. Edit: looking through the cabin, this is how most aircraft look when they come to us for updates. The gold trim is removed, the cabin is updated to modern design, and that entertainment system is removed and replaced with a new system with touch controls instead of buttons. We’d add Wi-Fi and broadband systems for connectivity, and USB ports for charging phones and iPads. Needs new carpet and carpet runner, then this aircraft will be good to go!
"601" is a Canadair (niw Bombardier) Challenger CL-601-3R is an old aircraft. I was a technical instructor on this aircraft for 25 years. These are excellent, strong aircraft.
I worked for a company that had 2 planes and was fortunate enough to be able to fly a couple times. They few me to Dr appointments, due to ongoing medical issues and it was truly exceptional. It was only 51 minutes, from wheels up to wheels down. The last trip I made, I few commercial and was about 5 hours total. Even though we had flown first class, the extra time was absolutely miserable.
What! No G550's. I have handled, repaired and upgraded nearly all the G500 series fuel boost pumps, a little near and dear to my heart. Glad to see TFL spread their wings a bit. Pun intended.
Absolutely amazing tutorial. Would like to see more of these with direct owner testimonials regarding their acquisition experience. We need more, PLEASE
Tommy is the perfect fit for these video's. Its so exciting to watch someone get into aviation. Pull the trigger tommy and get a private pilots license. Would be fun to watch you through that journey. I would also encourage you to visit EAA's Airventure in Oskhosh WI.
Brian is an excellent addition to the TFL stable and he and Tommy pair well together in these videos. I'd guess that the multimillion dollar aviation world is totally foreign to most of the TFL viewership, but Brian is very relatable--a regular guy with tons of experience and enthusiasm for his field. Keep the TFL Air videos coming!😃😃
Super cool! I fly on Helicopters for a living. So I have experience with how the aviation world works somewhat. Fun to see how much goes into buying one of these jets.
The company I work for has over forty planes across the US. The biggest is a King Air. Our expenses and paperwork workload is incredible. I can’t imagine how much worse it is for these guys who are spending $2M per year on keeping these big boys like this going
Excellent and very interesting video. Know a guy that has worked for Kalitta Air since the 90's as their metal fabricator. It's amazing how much detail and compliance is required and they still make money...
Hope I get to work on this someday. I do AOG aircraft maintenance in the northeast US. Being an airplane nut and an aircraft mechanic is great ! I get paid to hang out at airports to look at airplanes
It will definitely be awesome if yall continue to do aviation content as well! Many car geeks out here are also Aviation geeks as well! Who knows, maybe we'll see a 'TFL Flight', channel in the future 😉
Very cool and different video, thanks - of course, was a bit of an adjustment seeing frugal Tommy talking about the plane buying process….however, if Roman was doing this perhaps he’d be tempted to buy one :)
Use to be owned by Beacon Cap, know a handful of folks from there. And no not old for aircraft perse. If you ever want to fly on a Global 7500 lmk. Our is configured with an actual Master suite with Stand up shower in the rear. Has almost twice the range of the Challenger 650(newest)at 7700nm at cruise .80-.90Mach top speed .925 Mach. Configured to seat 17 not including the Master suite to the rear. Bought at release. I have been a pilot, multiple Rated since 1997. Aside from our Global, for smaller trips and 1 pilot use a Piaggio Avanti II & MD500E. Plus keep a CarbonCub at APA. I do enjoy the branch out, curious Mr Tommy are you pursuing a PPL?
Tommy, I absolutely love these kinds of videos with aviation. Please, do more! I am curious, do you yourself have a love of aviation? If so, definitely you should do more. Again, awesome content. This is a whole new world, a new channel. Excellent work!
Thanks for the information great show on plane. Boy big difference from a small plane singing single engine that my family owns. We don’t wanna plane no more.
This series is great. Keep 'em coming as far as I'm concerned. Though to be honest, I think Tommy is more a Fiat 500 kind a guy than a private jet kind a guy. That's supposed to be a compliment - how'd I do?
cool keep making more videos like this I love it I love it, Can you adapt them to Spanish? You can make a video like this but they interview the company AVION LLC located in a hangar at the international airport of the city of Birmingham in the state of Alabama, it is owned by the Drummond Company to maintain and operate its fleet of aircraft with operations in Colombia Please, I beg you, make the video about the company and its planes. If I had money, I would pay you to do it and translate it into Spanish. I look forward to your response to my comment. I love your aviation content. You provide valuable and unmatched information.
In some future I would join your channel as a financier, for the moment I'll settle for watching your aviation content
I know this will come off as negative, but I feel like this isnt really content for TFL Car. Its a car channel. This has 1/10 the views of a video you released at the same time earlier today, which should tell you something. If you want to do airplane or boat or whatever content, then create a TFL sub channel for that, like you do with motorbikes.
I believe these kinds of videos are going to be in high demand in the near future - the private jet business is about to EXPLODE. Maybe you're aware of that fact.
I could not find one comment questioning if private jet aviation really is appropriate and something to thrive for in 2023. To me -and I do love aviation- the whole thing feels irresponsible, wasteful and out of time
Not only am I a car geek....A Plane geek as well! A huge Yes on doing more of these videos you have the right contact!
Cool to see something out of the ordinary. I really enjoyed the editing for this video. You may need a TFL AIR, or TFL Sky channel. 😅

Would love to see more of this!
Awesome to see something different other than the normal TFL content! Aviation is fascinating!
The series I didn't know I needed. need an episode 2
Fun video guys. That was entertaining and a nice learning experience. Safe travels ✌️
This is great! Thank you for bringing more attention to the Private/Business Aviation industry.
I have many friends who are pilots, mechanics and inspectors and this was a detailed look that I have never seen before. I loved it!
Very cool Tommy. Great job.

Awesome. Keep this series going!
Absolutely amazing tutorial. Would like to see more of these with direct owner testimonials regarding their acquisition experience. We need more, PLEASE
Great interview. Thanks to the premier jet team.
The only thing I like more than the smell of premium unleaded, is Jet A ✈️ please more episodes! Heck, even start a new channel!

It´s a dream world but real for several texans oil tycons
I love that you guys are expanding into the aviation world too. You guys at TFL really cover everything these days! I’m a huge fan of your channels.
Thank you for sharing this Aviation Charter service.
Tommy, I love these videos Keep them coming, I used to take flying lessons back in High School.
Yes , please keep the aviation videos coming, but would like to see some general aviation content also.
More please. I'm a pilot and a huge plane geek.
Brian is an excellent addition to the TFL stable and he and Tommy pair well together in these videos. Went from powersports tech to A&P in the past couple years so TFL Plane has a fun clash of worlds lol.
Super cool! I fly on Helicopters for a living. So I have experience with how the aviation world works somewhat. Fun to see how much goes into buying one of these jets.
Great new series!

I can’t wait to see the 0-600 drag races. You guys use runways anyway. I wonder if you’ll ever do hot air balloon series?
Best video on this channel! Do another one!!!!
Hope I get to work on this someday. I do AOG aircraft maintenance in the northeast US.
Being an airplane nut and an aircraft mechanic is great ! I get paid to hang out at airports to look at airplanes

Auto dealer record now!
An amazing man with one of a kind skill. Thanks for this interview. Excellent interview with great questions.
Hey Tommy, I am aviation geek and also a flying pilot. Please do upload these kind of contents.
Thank you tommy i was curious about planes and that one looks real nice 👍
I wish aviation would bring propellers back especially the dash 8s and Saab 340s
Fast Lane Plane (TLP)? It was fun to watch.
Great video. Very interesting and informative. Thx
Very cool and different video, thanks - of course, was a bit of an adjustment seeing frugal Tommy talking about the plane buying process….however, if Roman was doing this perhaps he’d be tempted to buy one :)
Need a link to his Charter web site. Great video and thank you for making it.
Awesome series man! Love how this channel keeps reaching out to the aviation viewers! Maybe someday TFL can buy a Cessna or Piper of themselves 👀👀
Thanks for the vid ..... Have a beautiful Saturday everyone ✌️
Think it would be a good time to launch TFLFlight?
Thanks,very helpful 👐🏻
I remember when that airplane was brand new and based at the FBO I worked at. It also has not been a one owner airplane since new...haha.
I like this jet. But i need to see how well it does offroad compared to a 4runner :s

As a former Gulfstream employee, I tend to go 'meh' towards Challengers. But that 601 is one sweet aircraft
Guess we got this instead of our usual Saturday Ike Gauntlet video
Welcome to TFL AIR, we hope you enjoy our video!😎
Great aircraft content. Keep up the good work!
This is a cool series.
I'm waiting for TFL HOUSE
Tommy, I absolutely love these kinds of videos with aviation. Please, do more! I am curious, do you yourself have a love of aviation? If so, definitely you should do more. Again, awesome content. This is a whole new world, a new channel. Excellent work!
Yes yes yes I NEED to see what the next plane is!!
Tommy find a new calling? I've always loved "small" aviation. Even lucked into being a Technical Observer on OV-1 Mohawks in the Army.
Outstanding and very interesting 🤨 🧐 😊🎉 video can’t wait 😜 to see the next episode 🎉🎊
Learning about this was entertaining.
Great Video!
Are we gonna have a TFLPlane channel now? Great video Tommy, I never thought I’d be so interested in planes
Love this!
Thank you for flying Air-TFL...we hope you enjoyed the flight..
Yes. I love these videos. You must also start TFL RV.
I like this serious. It's pretty interesting learning all this stuff.
Thanks for the information great show on plane. Boy big difference from a small plane singing single engine that my family owns. We don’t wanna plane no more.
This was great! Good job!
great video thanks
Thanks Tommy

The Fast Lane Plane???
Love this series!
I’m envisioning a new channel… TFL Air
Stewardess...Tommy IS a 90 year old man! 😂
If it flies or floats, rent it.
Keep these episodes coming 🫡🫡🫡
Should have asked him "what does he look for when hiring a pilot"?
great video, as always.. more of this, please :o)
cool keep making more videos like this I love it I love it,

The fast lane plane!
I didn't think it was gonna be that tough, I guess I'll just take my $10M and retire instead
TFLWater&Air
New channel incoming? Tfl aviation
I believe these kinds of videos are going to be in high demand in the near future - the private jet business is about to EXPLODE. Maybe you're aware of that fact.
74 gear approves
Shouldn't this be on TFP (The Fast Plane)? 😁
I will ride it only if Roman or Tommie are strapped to the wings
Looking for a second hand jet
I could not find one comment questioning if private jet aviation really is appropriate and something to thrive for in 2023. To me -and I do love aviation- the whole thing feels irresponsible, wasteful and out of time
Tommy go on and get your pilot's license
does he broker? would he find a customer a jet and do the legwork? btw this was super cool to watch.
Sweet!
TFL off road??? I thought that planes were "off road" at 45000 FT
Cool, I can't afford groceries.
Love planes !
Rich boys and there over priced toys
Work very hard and you can also make it! GO FOR IT!!!!
Nice
