From someone born and raised in NC, i can finally agree with Cam on this one!! And i speak for ALOT of fans around here
As a Washington fan, we had to wait a long time for this change.
@@stryker290 Yep! And now we are what y'all were........smh
I think having taxes pay for an NFL stadium is insane. Taxes are suppose to be used for fixing roads, police and fire dep, the nessessaties not a new stadium
These taxes specifically had to be spent on hospitality & tourism. But honestly, the coolest thing here is the National White Water Center. They should’ve dumped the money into that and made it even better. Having an annual pass to the white water center is the same amount as one ticket to the Panthers game, and we went 2-15 last year without a 1st round pick this year lmao. A joke.
As someone who lives close to Nashville where they just approved a huge stadium I have to agree with you. Roads falling apart, homeless people everywhere. They had blackouts last winter so the nfl could have a game in Nashville at night during winter
I agree the nfl is a billion dollar industry they can find the money not from us
None of you understand business obviously 😂😂😂😂
That taxpayer money for stadium upgrades equates to more money for the city profit in return
Cam would know. When Tepper first was introduced to the team he went up there and asked the team if they had any questions. Cam asked how much money does he have and he didn’t answer him lol
Surprised they didn't mention the Rams Stan Kroenke, the most recent owner to build and fund his own stadium.
And he's never going to see a profit on that. Ever.
Bills
Tepper needs to pay for his own stadium
@jesuslverfmysulThat's a BS argument from the leagues and owners. There is no hard data that says there's an economic boon from a stadium. If Jerry World were as profitable and money printing as everyone pretends it is, every owner would do whatever they had to do to privately own stadiums and everything surrounding them.
The proposal says he will pay 20%
@@andrewk7611there’s no hard data that bringing 50,000 people to the city in and around small businesses doesn’t increase the business of those shops? That’s delusional bud.
@jesuslverfmysulplease actually go to Charlotte and see the stadium there’s nothing actually around it except for apartments and the interstate. I think there’s a 7/11 2 blocks from the stadium. No business is really thriving there because of the Panthers and Tepper on more than one occasion has hurt businesses by being a complete jackass around the city
@@bentoomet8805show us the data then. Should be pretty easy. Speaking as someone who actually lives in Charlotte. The stadium does nothing for local businesses except make them have to deal with Teppers antics
He's not wrong though. My Bengals didnt get better until Mike Brown started taking a back seat to his daughter and other family members 5 years ago. It'd take me 30 minutes to list off the positive changes theyve made since the change, including a indoor facility Lmao
Same with the lions since their owners daughter took over too first thing she did was fire mat Patricia and bob Quinn then brought in Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes
Lets be real Nate, Bengals have had good teams but it all comes down to having a QB in the NFL. ..Joe Burrow turned the Bengals around not Brown’s kids.
@@Cartiluvsyoutube Na bro. Bengals ruined multiple Great QBs bc of the decisions Mike Brown made. Carson Palmers was considered top 3 with Brady and Manning for a two years span. Boomer was one of the best QBs during his time. Ken Anderson will be a Hall of famer within the next 5-10 years. Greg Cook was the best QB prospect in the 40s-50s. Not a single Superbowl and only two appearances. Also look at the lions, Stafford is a good enough Qb to win a Superbowl, especially during his prime. Free agents avoided the Bengals and lions like the plague for decades bc of how bad our owners were at running the team
@@natej84 I hear you however Carson even if he was top 3 for a minute and I liked Carson but Brady and Manning have always been light years ahead of Carson. I will say this..Ben gals ownership should have had the balls to realize Dalton was a nice guy but had no fight..like Burrow, Brady, Manning..should have cut the cord, no balls. Was it 5 playoff appearances in a row w no advancement? The only one they should have won was vs Pitts and AJ lead the team there. Also, keeping thugs around like Pac Man was poor. Lastly, plenty of teams have very few SB appearances obviously and my point is marque QB must be had, a general. Very few teams make it w/o that…TB w Trent Dilfer is the only I can think of. Burrow > than Brown’s Kids
@@Cartiluvsyoutube Carson was MVP candidate before the Steelers DE purposely dove shoulder first into his knee first pass of the game. He was never that good again. But anyways Mike Brown didn't want to move on from Marvin Lewis and he didn't want to bench Dalton the year before we drafted Burrow. If Brown was still in charge we would've draft Chase young instead of Burrow bc we'd still be starting Dalton. All I really know is the team has been ran light years better since Brown stepped back 5 years ago
As a Charlotte native, let me just say Tepper came in and took all the fun and enjoyment out of the city from his antics & actions. We are absolutely PISSED that he's trying to use tax payers dollars to renovate the stadium , especially given the fact that the cost of living here is skyrocketing through the roof. And we've already seen the terrible results of him not having his way with the tax payer dollars from the people in Rock Hill for the practice facility he wanted. We are fed up with the teppers...
Yeah as a rock hill native he really fucked us
How about going 2-15 and for an ultimate fu - you raise ticket prices?
Tickets went up for every team. Not just Carolina
Those other teams are actually good though.@@user-ki3dj9pu9y
Right
Everytime a bot post a comment, Cam's hat gets taller
It is known.
yea verily
To the moon!
his tarantula consumes another fly
I do not compute
If only more owners were like Kroenke and Kraft who both used 0 taxpayer money to build their stadiums!
Ask people in St. Louis how much they love Kroenke?
@@BlankenshiptheDevilnobody cares nerd
Kroenke screwed over an entire city 😂
on the surface that looks like a sweet and generous gesture. these are smart rich people with viscous money men telling them not to do bad business. the stockholders won't appreciate bad business... I could be a conspiracy theorist but I assume there were benefits that we can't fathom. to paying themselves
Did you really think Kroenke pour billions into a new stadium in Los Angeles without getting something in return? Kroenke paid the city of St. Louis half a billion dollars and the NFL help him recoup the investment and settlement by letting him hold onto gate revenue at SoFi Stadium which normally he have to share with the NFL. Plus with the Chargers paying $5 billion dollars to help build and play in the Sofi Stadium. In the end Kroenke is getting back more than what he pay out building SoFi.
Honestly I agree with Cam. As much as it sucks this is true for a lot of the consistently struggling professional sports franchises. As much as it might be hard to see it in some cases and it sucks to come to that realization as a fan if it is your team but there really are a lot of pro teams in sports that are brought down by terrible owners.
Kills me it’s happened to the Panthers. I had a feeling it was the case all the way back in 2018
I agree I thought Dan Snyder was bad but David is going to take it to a new high.
Cares too much about winning
@@johnlinkshe needs to listen to the people hired to make that decision!
@@johnlinksso much that he gets in the way of the goal more than anyone
Idk, until he starts cooking the books, misdiagnosing cancer on the players, and using the cheerleaders as glorified sex workers I’m still giving it to Dan.
@nicolascaballero1320 it will be near impossible to bottom Dan as the worst owner
He's right. Tepper's actions the past few years have completely ruined his reputation and good people will choose to go elsewhere rather than work for him.
Charlotte is not giving him that money. Nor does he deserve it.
I can only hope that the city of Charlotte tells this man-baby no
@@lunarumbreon7699they already discussed and it’s most likely going to pass. 8 voted yes, 4 voted no

Because people who look like jackasses are fun to laugh at.
Cam Newton tells it as is! Folks go off &
Counter attack Cam for the hard facts, he states.
But, these same folks know Cam is telling the truth. They aren’t bold enough to say it.
They sit back & let Cam get all the counter attacks.
Eventually, they end up benefiting from what Cam has said, previous. 😳😞
I love when cam’s hair sticks out of his hat
Cam finally right about something! Although it's obvious to every NFL fan for years now! Panthers have the worst owner in NFL history.More like a rich troll that bought the franchise just to destroy it!
Do you not know who Dan Snyder is?
@@jalan6270Snyder was the most entertaining owner of our time.
Charlotte closing a 2am .. that's the only downfall for hosting events
Yes
LMAO so you get to pay to build the seat you have to pay to seat in.
I remember when people were calling for McNairs head down in Houston just 2 or 3 years ago.
David Temper is the new Dan Snyder.
He's right
Cam lookin like Exeggutor
Never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Cam Newton lol
Cam be using big words that he thinks are other words, I feel that 😂
Pat it is such a lie that the NFL brings enough jobs into a city to offset the taxes. An nfl team does nothing for the financial opportunities of 99.9% of a citied population. If you don’t own a business right around where the stadium is that caters to sports fans (something hospitality, entertainment, or restaurant related) an NFL team does not remotely change your life or your outlook. It’s a bogus take that sounds like a talking point you took straight from the owners’ mouths.
Tepper needs to be patient and focus on get these team winning again and be consistent
I thought 🤔 that was a spider 🕷️ on Cam’s hat 🎩 at first🤣😂
Wait it isn't 😆
I was optimistic about this season, and the Blueprint doc....until I watched and seen Tep sittin front and center during the War room segment, lol.
Most billionaires are hoarders. Paying taxes and spending your own money are for other people.
💯💯
Imagine being a multi-billionaire, asking for money from the government to pay for your stadium (which economists have repeatedly said cities never make that money back)... but also being a republican, and wanting to pay less money in taxes. "Yes I want to keep every dime of mine, not contribute to society to make it better and more civilised, but also I don't want to pay for anything I own, I want you to pay for it for me."
Anyone else notice Cam tried to use so many sayings and phrases and they were not used correctly 😂
All Tepper has to do is Get CAM NEWTON in the building!!!! We will forgive all transgressions!!!
Mmmmm....not quite. He did let Matt ruhle get rid of him his last year of his contract when his foot was broken. Never gave that man a chance To come back from injury. This all happened the same year he got rid of Gregg and TD.
Can’t believe he owns the stadium and asked the city for money it’s usually the other way around
I’m not even a Panthers fan but I totally agree with this. Just based on what I’ve seen with the antics he does at games….like getting drunk and yelling at people and at one time throwing things at hecklers.
You own a Billion dollar team. At least be a halfway responsible leader
David Tepper is the scum of the earth. There isn’t a good bone in his body and I dream of the day he doesn’t own the Panthers anymore. I knew when he bought the team how terrible it was and he’s done nothing but proven how terrible he really is, which is even worse than I anticipated. He’s the new Dan Snyder
100% agree with Cam on this one
I see Cam wanted his hair to resemble Charlotte as well as possible. Whole new look to the spiderman fit.
David Tepper is the Bob Nutting of Football.
Charloitte's parking situation is why they haven't hosted a SB yet.
The money would come from the hospitality fund, which brings in revenue from the taxes people pay on hotel rooms. Other than opportunity costs, Charlotte residents aren’t paying anything.
They messed up by getting rid of Christian Mccaffrey. The best running back in the league for a second round pick? He was the only reason left for people to watch. Now they can’t even score points. They aren’t in rebuild mode, they are in demolition mode. And now there’s nothing left.
No we have never hosted a Super Bowl. Biggest thing we’ve had is All-Star Weekend in 2019. Or Luke Combs back to back shows last summer.
Richardson built the stadium to host a superbowl. It had the largest press box in the NFL at the time and three locker rooms and in ground turf heaters. After the stadium was built NFL told him Clt would not host a superbowl bc the weather was to unpredictable. It would be great if that decision has changed.
Hey Pat if everything goes right with the new Carolina facility, maybe later on down the road you could talk to Triple H about a big event like wrestlemania, Summer Slam, or Royal Rumble. Good idea
When did they start valuing Cam Newtons point?
That’s true of many teams. Jets, Browns, Bears even the Dolphailures.
One thing is constant in sports: if owner is not committed, your team has 0 chance
This tax was put into place years ago to pay for things like this to keep tourism to increase their tax base. By the way the city approved this improvement plan last night
They approved $800 million, too. That’s a lay down.
OPM baby!! OPM!! Let's use the Have Nots for the benefit of the HAVEs!!!
Every successful nfl team needs a great owner, management coaches and players , example, cowboys, patriots, steelers , 49rs , eagles,
And now lions
You forgot the best owner and management of all, the back to back world champs.
For the Panthers new stadium renovations those are to be paid for with tax dollars from a "Tourism, Hospitality Fund" (not the exact name, but the you get the idea). The funds are already earmarked for exactly this kind of thing by the state, this is not additional taxes being collected, this is from taxes already collected that are designated to go towards infrastucture, etc to support and promote the tourism and hospitality industry. So it isn't like Tepper is asking for Charlotte to fund the stadium with an additional tax burden. The additional revenue the city will see in taxes and dollars spent due to hosting more events and more "premier events, (ie SuperBowl, or Draft, etc)" will MORE than recoup the investment. It is a no brainer on the cities part, really. Also not being talked about is Teppers investment in the stadium there is another $650 million commitment to further upgrades and infrastructure improvements from Teppers group over a period of years going forward. I am a Panthers fan, I am not a Tepper fan, lol...but I do believe the media leaves out the Tepper investment because it doesn't make the story as sexy as "Hey, why don't billionaires build their own stadiium" talk goes. A premium event destination does nothing but benefit the local economy, which is why cities are often paying for stadium renovations or new stadiums being built. It is a huge upfront cost, but the $ generated in tourism dollars in undeniable.
Panthers ain’t hosting a Super Bowl without a dome and this stadium upgrade isn’t turning it into a dome. It will be too cold here in February
im a panthers fan and i agree 100% with the title
bro got a whole ass tarantula on his damn ass head now
This really hits home today after they gave away everything but the kitchen sink to draft an under size QB to bench him after the 2nd game in year 2!!!!
TubFrog just did an hour long video about the collapse of the Panthers… great timing.
I legitimately thought he had a hat with a giant spider on top
One question. Does the $650 million upgrade include a parking lot? From what I can see the stadium has next to no parking. Maybe that’s not as big a deal as I think
Tepper, not knowing anything about football ownership more likely had 1 Zoom meeting with Dan Snyder and it shows.
Is that Cam Newton or Victor Timely from Loki?
Most average working people in Charlotte are just barely scraping by because the pay does not match the rising expenses, let alone having tax dollars taken from them for an upgraded (not new) stadium. He could of literally financed the whole thing himself if he built a new stadium in ft mill/ Indian land/ rock hill SC
Charlotte has not had a Super Bowl. The stadium is outdoors, and it gets cold in the winter.
I'm more confused now.. so are we getting the planes or not. Maybe that's the point to keep the enemies guessing lol
As a Jets fan I completely understand Cam's viewpoint.
I live 5 hours from Charlotte, but I'm a lifelong Panthers fan. I do not know one single person who claims to be a Panthers fan who has anything other than a negative opinion of Tepper. For the most part, we all still love Cam. No one likes Tepper at all. Unless they put a roof on it, I don't think there will ever be a Super Bowl in Charlotte. His Rich ass didn't want to pay the whole bill in Rock HIll, and he won't do it in Charlotte either. Don't buy a team if you won't use your own money unless he wants to give taxpayers stock in the team...
It’s Good, Pat McAfee supports Cam! 👍
He’s right. This is the feeling of most panther fans
Cam is correct. I’ve been saying this since 2018
Panthers went from rarely being mentioned on this show to having a clown of an owner that's up there with Dan Snyder and Urban Meyer
With just seeing the title alone as a Panthers fan. YES.
Has he ever thought about having that thing removed from the top of his head? There are some good doctors in Charlotte.
The fact the tax payers have to pay for stadiums is ridiculous
Hot Take: Once the Jaguars stadium is finished they’ll get another super bowl, and get it before Charlotte does. We have 2 indoor practice facilities for a reason 😉
With Dan Snyder out of the picture, probably the single worst owner in professional sports. A disastrous regime on every single level.
Tepper is worst owner in sports history.
Dan Snyder would like to add his name for consideration.
@@ChonWang247Snyder was in for nearly 30 years. Tepper has done all of this in just over 1 season.

@@tacotacotington3638 Tepper has been owner since 2018... I know it feels like a short time but he's been here for 6 years dude. T^T I'm in pain.
I agree with Cam Newton!
Sound like the ol lions days. Now it’s THE BRAND NEW LIONS
I don't agree with a lot of what Cam says but for sure I agree the Panthers are dealing with the worst owner.
Temper needs to prove it to the Carolinas not just Charlotte. I live over 4 hrs from the stadium and can't stand Temper. He needs to invest in the team like paying for the stadium to start getting the fans to believe in him the way we did Mr Richardson.
Cam’s basically a nut, but he ain't wrong.
Like Bud Adams. Houston hated his guts at the end.
I deep down in my heart. Think he trying to get them moved! And he doing a great job
Well, to be fair The MLS team Charlotte FC is now currently 4th in the Eastern Conference, Tepper isn't stupid just passionate 😅😅😅😅
Cam is just bitter because he asked Tepper for a job, and he ignored him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Except in rare instances, taxpayers are not willing to pay billionaires to build stadiums. Threaten to move the team? Boo-hoo don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
Glad Washington is finally no longer at the bottom of the ownership barrel
Forget the Super Bowl, Panthers should be gunning to host the draft. That's where the $$ is.
Cam ain’t lying
Cam Newton dresses like someone who got the feeling he is boring
Cam needs to stop speaking on the Carolina Panthers.
Shrewd businessman is a very nice way of saying a terrible piece of trash human.
Hell in 2046 possibly a new stadium after the already planned renovations
Failed deal with City of Rock Hill over training facility, Failed deal with the city of Charlotte already over old Eastland Mall deal. The teams doing well, aren't going to make taxpayers forget about these. Bringing Cam, Steve Smith, or other Panthers greats is would help his image, but tax payers aren't going to make it easy for any city around to give him money anytime soon.
Tepper would be a great heel in WWE
UPTOWN Charlotte not downtown Charlotte
As a Panthers fan I must say WE as panther’s fan hate Tep…he fuk’d the team up baaaaad
BREAKING NEWS: The City gave him the Money🤷🏿♂️😂😂😂😂
The idea.. I give 100% for all the upgrades... How much of a percentage of the revenue that this brings to the stadium and city, do I get? This is business kids.
When hotels charge quadruple prices for events, do I see any portion of that? That's why you ask for taxpayer money.
He’ll make plenty. He already gets a share of the gate and a share of the TV revenue.
Asking the city for money does 1 of 2 things: Increase property tax or gut funding for local services. He wants to socialize the cost and privatize the profits.
I think tepper stepping back so far is good let's see how this season goes with the more hand off let's just see
