- Charles is badly injured and in need of emergency medical attention. When he arrives at the hospital he is quickly turned away by a doctor because he is homeless. The doctor kicks him out of his office and demands that he seeks attention elsewhere. Then as Dr. Harris arrives for work he sees Charles lying helpless on the ground. Dr. Harris quickly comes to the man's aid and gives him the care he so desperately needs.

When you deny a person medical care just because they’re homeless, you should turn in your medical license and never practice medicine again.
I don't think any veteran should be homeless. They deserve the best. They fight for our country. They should have medical insurance, food a home. Any thing they need should be free. God bless all veterans.
That lack of care is disrespectful, not kneeling during the anthem!
The veterans are our real rock stars as they have done their duty to protect all of us. Sometimes when a veteran comes home from fighting a war, sometimes they no longer have a family and end up homeless.

I know that I had to block a few people because some think it is so funny to make rude comments. Especially about our veterans. To be a doctor, there is an oath you have to sign. Once you sign that oath, you are supposed to care for everybody.

Heartless people are sad people who are in so much pain and misery that they offer tend to pass it on to others!! A doctor’s first priority is to help a person in need of medical attention, regardless if they think they can pay for it or if they have insurance or not. The sad part is, there are doctors who are actually like Dr. Nichols, such a great scenario and a great lesson to learn and that is to never judge someone due to their race, financial situation, or any other reasons and treat every human being with the same love and compassion.
He's homeless so i doubt he has the money because US healthcare gets expensive, so the best way is to get someone else to pay, additionally i also doubt he will get out free unless the hospital is generous

I remember the times of being told that if you turned away someone because of their race and because of their great service to our country, you soon got fired for it.
The sad truth is there are hospitals that turn away certain people and are allowed to do it. If it's a for profit hospital they can refuse anyone they choose, my sister worked in the ER and during her training the hospital she was at turned away a high risk pregnant patient, my sister questioned the Dr about it because she didn't think it was right. That's when she found out they have the right to refuse anyone they want. She's been in the medical field for over 30 years and it just gets worse😢😢
@@kimpayton727 It is downright disgusting that we even have people in Washington that let the for-profit hospitals get away with this. I was glad that I worked in a hospital that was NOT a for-profit type. We all need to pressure our legislators to make sure that no hospital gets away any kind of nonsense. Where I worked, the healthcare organization chose to stick with the rules that God has taught us. All healthcare companies no matter if they are for profit or non profit that they should follow the rules of the Lord and treat everybody equally. Our veterans have put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.
I love that story. To see lots of veterans come back home and fall on hard times and they are neglected by society, some has health issues, medical issues and they are turned away and told that they don't have insurance, or the color of their skin, that is so sad. They fought for their country and then they are kicked to the curb and left to starve and die without any help from the people or the country they went to protect.

Glad the vet got the care he needed. I know how he felt. I was in the hospital myself three weeks ago and I didn’t feel comfortable with being there but the doctors knew what they were doing and took great care of me. Dr Nicholls should be ashamed with himself and should be fired for what he did. People need care no matter who they are!

We need more Doctors like Dr.Harris. The way he helped him is the way everyone needs to treat others especially if they need to go to the ER. Doctors that don't do what they're supposed to do need to lose there DR licenses and need to be locked up.

A doctor is required by law to treat any patient, wether they be rich or poor. They have the obligation to provide them medical service. It’s just plain and simple!

Doctors take an oath "to do no harm," and this doctor forgot that. Too many begin thinking only of the money they make. They love the kickbacks from insurance, that's why he asked if the man had any. They refuse to see anyone who doesn't put cash in their pocket.
