Gary Allan thank you for keeping us entertained during this crazy Carona crap! Listening to your music helps me keep my mind clear and helps me to stay positive! March of this year marked the 3rd year anniversary that I lost my very best friend of 17 years to cancer. She passed away just ten very short months after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She died 3 days after her 34th birthday. I slipped into a very deep depression and I am fighting hard to find my way back again. When I say best friends for 17 years I mean literally spending everyday together as we possibly could from the day we met as teenagers to adults going through everything in life together & suddenly my soul mate was gone! I am finding ways to stay busy, especially in my mind & although I’ve been trying to refrain from social media for the past month or so I do grab my iPad & the first thing I do is type in country music, type in Gary Allan & hit “whiskey” EVERY TIME!!! Lol Sara loved it when I would sing it to her while we were getting lost on logging roads low on gas! Haha See!! Your video tonight brought back some good times and puts a smile on my face! So, again..thanks for entertaining us. We love it & appreciate it! (Also if your thinking of donating to another cause try Seattle Cancer Care Alliance they are amazing there! Ok bless you & stay safe! Edit: I’m using my hubbys iPad so it says Rich but my name is Shawna Moulton lol just wanted to clear that up :) we aren’t technically married but after 18 years together I say my hubby :) that’s why our last names are different. Just in case you actually read the comments yourself :) I’m feeling in my heart that you are an artist who cares about your fans & personally reads what you can especially right now because hell... what else is there to freakin’ do! For me, I got sober on Nov. 6th, 2016, and my particular "storm" had just run out of rain. The truth did set me free, and I still am sober One Day At A Time! Have a blessed Memorial Day!

I don't understand how this song was not a way bigger hit. The video brings a lot of sadness to me though since it reminds me when I was an Infantry Marine. We were attacked and only one of us was hit. He didn't make it. His wife had their baby near the time he died. The hardest thing I've ever done in my life was the memorial service for him after we got back. Seeing his wife holding their baby...I didn't know what to say or do.
Yes,this song, when it came out,pulled me from a deep bout of depression. I thank you, Gary Allan, for helping me with this song.

Gary has so much talent, the amount of feeling he puts into the songs lyrics and his phenomenal voice brings the song to life and reaches that emotional level that moves your thoughts and feelings....so relatable. It's the song and they way he delivers it that make it hit home.
The late great Earl Thomas Connelly did a great job on a song titled What I'd Say but when you listen to Gary's remake you'll notice it doesn't have that standard Nashville sound to it but is replaced by Gary's ability to add a feeling of emotion that makes it relatable.
That said, Gary I hope you were onboard with Hangover tonight. Not every song has to be a cry in your beer ballad and old style country.
I hate that you and your record label have stopped your career by not being able to agree on the music.

My husband and I saw you in concert in Jackson MS. I was pregnant with our son. You are our favorite. We had so many songs that he dedicated to me. He passed away about 5 years ago and as soon as my son and I left the funeral, that song was playing on the radio. It still means so much ♥️

Gary, this song means so much to me and especially my wife. She miscarried our first son (at 16 weeks pregnant) in 2011, then had another miscarriage in early 2012. Truly this song snapped her out of a deep depression (and "hate" of life and God). This song released her of everything. She, nor I, have never forgot, but this song made her realize that eventually every bad thing, will eventually stop. We have a daughter, born in 2008, but suffered that heartbreak in 2011 and 2012 (after trying prior to that). Then in 2013 our rainbow baby, William, was born. The day he was born is when the storm ran out of rain for me. Truly hope you will see this, to realize how much of an impact you had on someone through your writing and singing.

Gary Allan is one of my favorite singers of all time. There is a hint of old country mixed in with a soothing voice. His lyrics always tell you a story that is worth listening to.
