No, the Note layout doesn't puts your title as the first line of text. Note layout DOESN'T have title, that's the whole purpose of this layout. And it's so usefull for so many reason that I'm confused that you didn't see them. One of the most obvious one for exemple. a Quote template. A quote don't have a title, so it's a perfect layout to later display every quotes in a Set at first glance.
Out of ALL the Anytype videos I've watched, your video has me finally understanding enough to get some custom objects created and templates setup to nicely display them! Thanks so much for your taking the time to create videos explaining how to use Anytype! Edit - and that tip on how to CORRECT the default Note template is priceless!
Thank you so much. Wondering what is the difference between Page & Note (after we change the default layout to Basic). Which in your opinion should we use to take notes (related to education/ PKM)? Kindly comment.
I prefer Page. The Note layout is nice for quick ideas, since there is no title. The pinned comment puts it well - if you want to record quotes or quick ideas, Note is great. For education notes, like in a school class, I strongly recommend the Page layout. Being able to title and organize school notes is really important in my mind.
OK so I made a template for a list of things, and within the template I placed a couple of pages, when I make a new entry with the template it changes all the entries because it doesn't create new pages, it just references the first page made within the template altering the whole template in the process and effecting everything made with said template, why and what am I doing wrong, it's truly frustrating, thank you in advance.
I'd need more context to fully understand, but if you're placing links to existing pages in a template, that's what all the uses of that template will display. If you want to make a template that makes new pages, I'm not quite sure how you'd do that... I'd have to work on that. If your template links to pre-existing pages, using that template will just put those pre-made links in there too.
@@pianomacpower Thanks for the reply, you're correct the Template doesn't create a new page it just creates a link to an already existing page, my work around that was that I made a new type instead of the new page then I linked the new type to the template, so whenever I make a new entry, it just creates a new entry of the type I made 🤷♂, hope that was easy to understand, thanks :)

Oh true... completely, fair; I hadn't thought of that. I've thought of notes as larger deals, but this... this is good... kudos.

I knew when I discovered that I had to do something! The "Note" layout drives me crazy 😅
I agree, such a smooth solution of the Note type layout. 👌
Would be cool if they add calc
no idea how poople manage their finance in anytype
Great tutorials. Can a template be applied to an existing note? If you change a template, will it update the objects using it?

@@mobarakjama5570 Ah, that's a great idea! I don't know if I would've thought of that, but that sounds like it would work. Congrats!
