for me cannibalism is only okay if you do it by definition: the practice of eating the flesh of one's own species. if let's say 2 deino's are going around and just killing others and not eating them, that's when it becomes just a d*ck move for me. as for humans they are going to be pretty hard to balance depening on how people are going to play it/how it's going to be played when they add guns to them, i'm not even sure if they are planning to do that still since i don't keep up with humans in the isle really. but if they do i'm not sure how they are going to figure out how to not make them into griefing machines

In terms of mixpacking I think there is a lot of flexibility. For instance, If I’m a full grown deino I might ignore smaller dinos like hypsies or troodons if I’m not starving. It’s not because I necessarily team up with them but rather not wasting my time to get something that would barley be worth it, especially if they might draw out some bigger prey. It’s like how a tiger isn’t really going after mice
I mean, I don't think anyone really calls that mix packing, it's only when you start fighting with another like Carno and Cerato teaming up against another Dino. But if you just kinda sitting there because you are already full on food for example then I don't think that counts as mix packing, just when actual action is taken.
I have the same views as you regarding the mixpacking situation. I have grown up on documentaries, where they showed herbivores migrating together and watching out for each other, warning each other. At the same time, carnivores never help each other, even go out of their way to kill one another to get rid of the competition for food. So carnivores killing those not on their diet is actually realistic. So, I treat animals in games the same way and I am disturbed by mixpackers. But hey, I just play on servers that have rules against them, so I rarely come across any mixpacking issue unless people rulebreak. As for aggressive herbis... I swear, people who say herbivores should just graze and should only attack if attacked... never have seen a freaking documentary. Have they seen buffalos going out of their way to actively hunt and kill lions they can smell? Zebras decimating anything that looks at their harem the wrong way? Elephants going into water to kill crocodiles just because? Herbivores are not peaceful. I also hope humans will not make dinosaurs unplayable. Because they will come, no matter what we do. There will be humans. But it should take them a considerable amount of time to get access to advanced gears and vehicles. I think in a video they said humans will be at a great disadvantage. Ammo will be scarce, for example. So they cannot just shoot and kill everything in sight. They got to hide and utilize the bases, then choose what they want to waste their precious ammo on.
Glad you see what I mean 😃 Yeah very true on the herbivores, and also just saying in game terms, who would really want to play a Dino that only grazed and nested lol Maybe for a bit here and there but it would mainly be predators so it's good I think that herbies have the means to fight

Yes but it is simply part of the game, I don't understand why some people actually have such an issue with it, it's even on the diet, so if someone read their diet, which they should so they know what to eat, then they will see their own species there for eating or not lol Hopefully in time people understand and get used to it, it at least splits up predators a bit more too.
If you have to canni and it's on your diet don't feel bad, only feel bad if your 2 call and then betray or something like that, it's part of the game to cannibalise for certain Dino's anyway, you aren't doing anything wrong 😊
I've been dreading the addition of humans and, more-so, human things being added to this game since I started playing some hundreds of hours ago. Personally, I don't care for the human v dino gameplay. It's a bit tired. Sooooo many dino games have just been violence against animals for the sake of it; they're blood-thirsty monsters ya know. They might look the part, sometimes, but the portrayal of their behaviours and interactions is so often disrespectful. When legacy dropped it was monumental to be able to play AS A DINOSAUR, not just watching them in a zoo or killing them with yer pew pews but playing with them in a system that at least tried to feel real. idk, legacy was dope, and the communities that formed because of it will be cherished. I found the most fun in realism servers like HF, but noobz is still great, and asura is a hoot with super cool peeps. Development has always been slow, I don't think we should expect anything different at this point, but development on humans is potentially less development for dinos. These might be separate teams, fair enough, but the total funding is limited.. It can also affect the balancing of the dinos at some point since we'll have ballistics in the mix. I've heard devs talk about the future of humans being something akin to Escape from Tarkov... and I just can't. BSG are pretty mid developers but they do have a lot of passion and heart, and Afterthought can't hold a candle to the amount of updates Tarkov gets. Tarkov with dinos is super overly ambitious. And, for the reasons mentioned, I think it would be a bad game, a bad direction given the foundation in legacy and Evrima, and would expose the game to more people who view dinosaurs as the aforementioned blood-thirsty monsters who require unaliving; and they will have guns. Cool. But who knows what tf they're actually going to achieve with this game, or if they're even on the tracks they intended to be on now. lol
Yeah, I guess the only thing we can do is sit and wait. Definitely weird that they added humans already, especially when they are so unfinished, like what's even the point of adding something this useless at the moment, waste of time! I like the human element on the maps and the map to come but I am absolutely fine with waiting on humans, even if they come last or not at all, because I do agree with you and I love this game because of dinosaurs, not humans. Let's see and hope ay.

Cannibalism and mixpacking is a big problem for a solo player. But I can understand it more if theres a story behind it. Like a carno and a raptor becoming friends after defending against a small cera or something. But running around and KOsing everything because u are in a team with every adult species to dominate the server just breaks the immersion of the game. If I would take it serious, and really don't trust anybody as a solo player, I have to avoid any places on the map where players go to. And that can't be how it's used to play the game. Don’t think we have evidence of carnotaurus being a cannibal It’s relative majungasaurus we do have evidence of cannibalism but not carno itself And the concept art of carnotaurus has a surprising amount of times it is shown being friendly to its own species 1. 2 carnos work together to bring down a tenontosaurus 2. A carno is shown chasing a galli away presumably to protect the smaller carno in the background 3. A carno protects its child under its giant ass legs I don’t think carno was ever intended to be a cannibal in the isle. And since there is no evidence of it in paleontology either, carnotaurus not being a cannibal makes plenty of sense. In fact carnotaurus might not have needed to cannibalise since the la colonia formation (where carno was discovered) was supposedly quite rich in animal life having sauropods, hadrosaurs, ankylosaurs and turtles. And unlike the cannibalistic majungasaurus carnotaurus didn’t live on an island which can be more unforgiving when it comes to food. So no. Carnotaurus shouldn’t be a cannibal

Thus dilo will most likely come out on Halloween if not slightly before that
@@kmp3-gaming986 Would make sense, hopefully this night terror Dino will be upon us!
Great video!
Thank you 💚 Glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t cannibalize because a lot of players hate it, and I want them to have fun in the game too. But, I think we’d all have more fun if we embraced cannibalism.
Yes but it is simply part of the game, I don't understand why some people actually have such an issue with it, it's even on the diet, so if someone read their diet, which they should so they know what to eat, then they will see their own species there for eating or not lol
Hopefully in time people understand and get used to it, it at least splits up predators a bit more too.
i always want to canni bud i just feel soo bad i cant (i onoly did it once when i was starving as deino) im with you in humans
If you have to canni and it's on your diet don't feel bad, only feel bad if your 2 call and then betray or something like that, it's part of the game to cannibalise for certain Dino's anyway, you aren't doing anything wrong 😊
@@ucjgaming i know i just see the chat they just talk to me and 2 call me and ic ant do it idk why 🤣🤣
@@ucjgaming "I'm really excited to see habitual dinosaurs getting shot." chuckles "I am excited for the moment that the unannounced test occurs, and people are just enjoying the game, and all of the sudden the hear gunshots and don't understand what's happening." -dondi
sigh
Dilo, Herrara, Diablo, and new environmental stuff looks awesome though.
On the official servers, where are no rules, we make the rules, as a community.

Gaymer speaks facts 😌🙌🤙
I try 💚
you can still attack other carnos to compete for territory. it doesnt make you a canni
I mean of course, the canni aspect is only to kill to eat your own kind
Don’t think we have evidence of carnotaurus being a cannibal
It’s relative majungasaurus we do have evidence of cannibalism but not carno itself
And the concept art of carnotaurus has a surprising amount of times it is shown being friendly to its own species
1. 2 carnos work together to bring down a tenontosaurus
2. A carno is shown chasing a galli away presumably to protect the smaller carno in the background
3. A carno protects its child under its giant ass legs
I don’t think carno was ever intended to be a cannibal in the isle.
Im definitely on the Yay side with Humans.
Is there anything that you wouldn't like to see humans have? Like guns or cars or are you happy with everything? :)
@ucjgaming pretty much everything. Even vehicles since there'd be some risks to being in them, especially if you try to hit stuff. You would damage it, you could get flipped over, you might stop dead and things would jump in your Jeep.
@@Misto_deVito6009 not gonna lie, would be funny seeing a jeep just running over dinos, even tho I could imagine it kinda spoiling the dino part of the game, hopefully somehow they balance it out
1:50 the isle community is filled with children
I mean literally
I personally dont enjoy people being canni when they charge down fresh spawns for fun when it doent effect their hunger in the slightest.
I heard a long time ago from anthomnia that as a human you could tame Dino’s but I heard this when humans were first introduced
I don't think they will be able to tame Dino's? At least I hope not, it will just be copying Ark and also really annoying for players
herbivore cannibalism is super bad on officials at the very moment, to be very honest.
Which Herbie would you say is the one to watch out for the most?
@@ucjgaming I'd say stegos or tenos, either one can go both ways, they even turn on each other too from what i've seen.
