I am sending off a camshaft to Eric Weingartner’s LS camshaft challenge. I figured I would throw my hat in the ring with all of these guys and see how she stacks up.

the onees talking shit are the one that never back anything up, you will never silence them, it pointless trying, Ignore them if how to get at them.

Man! This is gonna be so cool! Eric has built me two sets of heads, intake and cams that should be tha chit! I’m looking forward to getting them both running, just to see how they work in the 1/8 mile drag racing! My money is on Brian Salter but who knows until the tests are made. I 100% agree. So far everyone I've talked to seems to have a "let's all learn something" attitude. Should be fun!
The only problem I see is not setting the best timing for each cam. But it will still be some good data
Yeah, that would be ideal, but with 20ish cams to test, it just isn’t possible to spend that much time with each one.

True that.This cam challenge has definitely got me thinking.Your just trying to guess what particular cam is needed for a certain motor.Every motor is different soooooo it kind of gets me thinking.Math obviously plays a factor but no one really knows the true math it takes.We can narrow it down but to many variables.Dino is one thing but once you put a load on it,everything changes.

Absolutely I mean everyone would be lying if they said they didn't want their camshaft to win but I truly want to see how the engine responds to all the cams that are entered. I feel like I'm lacking on the LS side of things so for me this will be very interesting and a learning opportunity
@@SalterRacingEnginesMy thoughts exactly. Bragging rights is never a bad thing, but watching how the different camshafts affect the exact same engine will be super valuable information. Can’t wait!
