"Why do i try, i know i'm gonna fall down..." and the actual quote from the series is the perfect answer for this question. i cried everytime the storyline rip Angel off of his new found goals in life, either in the form of a lover, a son or a human status. it almost seem like the PTB(both in the series and those who create the series) enjoy giving him hope, just to watch him suffer. he can't have any definite goal of his own on his path for redemption, which is also something he can't achieve, no matter how hard he tried. all he can do is to make do with it and keep trying. and ultimately when he stopped wanting, fate allows him to have them, at least in the case of his son and human status(even just for a while and not a full package). it's a never-ending tragedy. and that why i love Angel and the series so much! thank you so much for this epic fanvid, which inspire me to reflect my thoughts on my beloved series to this extent.
Oh, this video just sums up why I love Angel so.... I can connect so much to someone with "evil" thoughts/impulses - wracked with guilt over it - but still striving to do their best, to be as good as they can be. Angel's struggle is so very moving to me on a personal level... Sure, I'm not a mass-murderer ha!, but the idea that even somebody with those extremes of darkness in their past can try to be better, and KEEP TRYING, is so inspiring..... :')

He's so amazingly noble and he never forgets all the things he did as Angelus and his relationships with his Angels Investigations team are so beautiful and genuine. Just rewatching this and remembering it was one of the first few fan videos I saw because of the bboards and it still gives me all the feels. I think this will always be the best video for this fandom for me.
