  • This video is part of the EPIC series on HOW TO do kiteboarding tricks. So if you are interested in learning HOW TO KITELOOP then watch this video very closely. I am 99.9 % sure that after watching this video you will be KiteLooping like a pro. But be careful out there especially for the Mega Kiteloops.
    P.S. I tried my best to keep this video under 6 minutes but there so much info that needed to be shared in order for you to make sure you understand what to do and what not to do. Actually this video was 28 minutes long and was able to cut it to 12 minutes and of course left a lot of footage out. Enjoy it.

    The NORTH DICE is a great kite. You should try the SCREAMER kite model and see what this kite is all about.

    Hello MVBattle. Once you are done looping the kite and you are on your way down it all comes to where you kite is located in the air and the feeling you have on the bar, plus the surroundings you have around you and the hight. But you have to make sure to bring the kite in front of you if you are very high up in the air. You can do 2 things to make this happen.
    1) Continue looping the kite the same way you did by pulling your back hand
    or
    2) Once you loop the kite and you are on your way down, redirect your kite the other way so it goes in front of you.
    All you want to do is keep these lines tight and these 2 steps are the only way to do it.
    It's very hard to explain it but you will understand once you get on the water.

    Firstly, I luv the way you make the extremely challenging moves look & sound so easy. Please excuse my ignorance, but is the kiteloop a functional or a flashy manoeuvre? Don't get me wrong, I'm totally impressed. Keep the vids coming please!

    I'm becoming comfortable with helilooping and low kiteloops (powered loops or whatever they call it). But I wonder: Is the strength of the kiteloop determined by how close to the apex of the jump you are?
    So for example, if I loop the kite just before the apex --> kiteloop (powered). But if I do it at the very apex --> heliloop (slightly powered). And if I wait like a second or so after apex --> heli loop (weak loop, soft landing). Does that make sense?

    Can you explain a little bit more about controlling the right direction of a kiteloop, since you're making a huge horizontal swing. You don't want to end up on the shore, other obstacles and kiters. It all seems a little bit uncontrolled sometimes. Especially when you're in front of the kite and you have to steer it back.

    • @epickites
      @epickites  5 років тому +2

      Hello Luuk. In order to do a MegaKiteloop you will need lots of space. So make sure you have no one in front of you for at least few hundred meters. Now if the conditions are on Shore, then you will need to go way up wind so you don't land on the beach.

  • @FabianRomano1
    @FabianRomano1 5 років тому

    Awesome video man ! I wish it was as easy as you make it look though =). Big balls is the prime ingredient I guess. How far into the loop do you depower so the kite can raise up ? Or do you not depower at all ? Thanks !

    • @epickites
      @epickites  5 років тому +1

      Hello Fabian. You never depower the kite but you need to keep the bar in the middle of the throw where it's the most power. But then once your kite has looped this is when you can spin the bar in which it depowers the kite for few seconds until you grab the bar again. But never depower the kite.

    How To redirect the kite after the loop ?
    I'm always falling down because I'm in front of the Kite

    • @tonybohnice
      @tonybohnice 7 років тому

      MVBattle MPE , must make after that downloop..

    • @epickites
      @epickites  7 років тому

      What do you mean by that!!!! If you are coming down hot its normal after a KiteLoop. But this is when the kite is at 12 o'clock above you. And if you are still way up and the kite already looped then you need to continue pull on the bar so the kite can loop again so the kite is always in front of you. If the kite is seating still in front of you that means you are in deep S&*$%. First of all in order to make big KiteLoops you want to make sure you are not doing them in gusty conditions. 2nd of all you want to have a kite that is able to do nice kiteloops.

      You have to edge up wind the last minute so you can make the lines tight for the kite to respond better.
