In this tutorial we create a Multiplayer / Replicated Killfeed widget to get feedback of which players are dying. We do so by RepNotifying a Kill Feed value in the Game State.
We take a look at:
- Multiplayer / Replicated Kill Feed
- How to notify a death
- How to update everyone's Kill feed using RepNotify and the GameState
- How to easily create a Kill Feed widget
- Using an easy function from a Function Library
✔️ What are we going to make in this series?:
In short it will be PUBG but with Bean characters.
We will have:
- A Battle royale Map
- Full Steam Session setup for connecting to games (Host, ServerBrowser, Join)
- Multiplayer characters
- Picking up Tools / Weapons
- Multiple weapons
- Lootcrates
- Flying out of an airplane
- All kinds of UI and HUD
- Match flow logic
And basically everything that a battle royale needs

Just to let you guys know what we are making in this course, we are making a full multiplayer battle royale game. I am uploading one video each day.

Realy like the way you explain eveything! I am learning so mutch from this.
I just have 1 question. I packadge the project, so i could test on 2 computers.
I can create the game and join, all good. But the healthbar is at 0. And the text is also not there. So just a plain white healthbar. Any ide why?
If i play as 2 and listenserver in the editor, everything is good.
I shall adres that in the next video!
In short this has to do with editor and packaged game classes initializing differently (slower).
This is a good issue we have encountered that a lot of people can learn from.
But no worries I explain it in the next video ^^

Kekdot is the goat - he should have a own series for multiplayer games i cant find somebody who explain repnotify as good as him
Ok slightly frustrated now, I have tried to package at this point to get it on another system, i get fatal error when trying to launch it. looks like I'm redoing it again. 😭 i suppose, if I'm not failing I'm not innovating.
i think you need to activated the plugin Online Subsystem Steam.
