He's not lifting his leg for that. Anyone who has/had a dog will tell you the area lower down the belly (close to the ding dong) is very sensitive. If you rub them there they will automatically lift their leg. It's nice and ticklish for him.

Amazed at the calm between doggo and kitty. A lot of people forget that cats were domesticated from northern Africa, hot, dry desert. Cats LOVE heat, especially little kittens like this boy who are using doggo as a blanket of warmth.
I'll never forget our cat growing up, he looked like that kitten. He'd go outside into the snowy yard/woods, prowl around for an hour or two, check his territory, maybe kill a bird or whatever was moving lol. Then he'd want back inside. He'd immediately plop his ass right in front of that wood burning stove/fireplace insert with the blower fans. We used that to supplement the heat during winter, it would be 80 degrees in that huge main living room with the vaulted ceilings, like 90+ degrees where kitty was laying sprawled out on the floor in front of the fireplace lol.
