For Sigismar : I love the first list but there were so many Sigismar at Angers I think that monolith is too important in mirror matchups. I built mine to beat the other Sigismar and it worked mostly thanks to the monololith.
@@guilty_neco what's the definition of tier 0? I honestly think it isn't that bad atm and they've already made a statement that they are considering a robin nerf. I think we are in good hands.
@@Archer_Channel hello! If you use the links in the description for the two discord servers you can ask this question and see if anyone knows. There should be akesha lists shared in the ExAlts Discord as well although not from this event. Hope you find what you are looking for!
The cost for the effect is to discard the card from your reserve. So when you actually resolve the effect, the Jellyfish isn't anymore in the reserve. Same as any TCG, the cost always applies before the effet resolves.
@@doniverz its actually super consistent with other cards. The rule is: completly resolve the effect, then resolve the triggers. So you sacrifice the jelly and then immediatly put a card from reserve back to hand (jelly is still in discard). Only after the arrow ability has fully resolved, does the 'when im sacrificed' trigger resolve, that puts the jelly into reserve
After this event, do u think removing uniques from tournaments would be good for the competitive side of the game? Having uniques for weekly events, casual play and stuff seems cool... but or major events when we are talking about the competitive side, sometimes it can feel unfair idk.
@@muriloalves8703 I think this event actually made me less worried about uniques. It doesn't seem like any of the lists had anything too oppressive. I feel that finding uniques brings in an additional strategic layer when it comes to deck building. Without them it would have been much harder for the yzmir decks to top. I do think that we will need the marketplace for finding uniques to stay enjoyable in the long run. I also hope as more product is opened prices can go down with more supply.
Deck would likely stop be top 6, but the taxing effect is what makes it super OP. Stacking double Robin Hood effectively double Time Walks your opponent. @@vitoroliveira2933 yeah, it is in a tough spot. You do have the potential for amazing hands which will win games against anything but I still haven't locked in on 39 cards I am super happy with.
Pretty disappointed to already see a meta so optimized (blahblah you need a competitive scene or else there will be no $$ incentive for enough players to want to stay playing your game blahblah you need busted rares for players to chase $$) (50% deck representation at the top is not healthy; glad it seems they're going to promptly act to make the necessary banning) When I see a new TCG, I want to see all the possibilities of casual play (like what Richard Garfield originally envisioned) Would a Pauper format fix all that? Could the only way to have a Casual Constructed format (beyond the starter decks) be to restrict or ban any card in a deck whose color it was not originally printed in?
It is unfortunate that one deck has taken such a dominant share so fast. Personally I don't think 50% is too high and there was still room for a lot of other heroes to top. I do worry most people will choose Waru though now without thinking or testing for themselves. I did use waru in my last event as well but I actually built 6 decks before and almost brought several others like Afanas, Sig, Fen, and Teija that didn't seem far off. Waru is very good but I don't think the meta is completely optimized. I think he is an easy pick for a lot of players that don't want to do their own testing but there is a lot of room for other heroes to do well with enough time invested into them. I think that a format without uniques is already enough if people want to play a budget format because rare cards are also relatively cheap! To really give every card a chance to shine I think that limited formats are the best. Even if the Robin nerf does happen I still think other decks will quickly fill the top position and it would be very hard to ever see a meta without a handful of heroes taking up a majority of the top decks. In all of my card game experience this almost always happens so I guess we just hope that the next best decks are at least close enough in power you can justify playing them!

I think the big thing is that, yes you can have 3 insane uniques, but you're not going to play every event, and you're not going to always draw them.
