I think from memory years ago you could get what was known as a remote shifter which made it possible to use you origina gearshift hole.
It sounds too big for an Anglia... Awesome! Have you thought about buying the cheapest car of an auction? that one without reserve than no one thinks is worth it, and try to do something with it. I think it could be a good series for the channel and, in fact, you can see examples as Ronald Finger's Fiero series or Fuzzy Dice's Thunderbird series.
That sucks, I am sorry you got the wrong transmission from us. I knew when we told you it was a 2 liter Pinto you were confused on if it would work or not and said you would take the chance on it just in case. That sucks that even after you did your research it still didn't work. I hope you get that car sorted the way you want it sooner than later.
I meant to say by the way, I never told you the transmission was for a 1600... You might want to check out our offer up conversation. I'm not a big fan of being nice and honest to someone just to be called an A-hole...
