- This year Carsen got hired as an intern for Bill Winke and Hoyt's Bowhunting Whitetails. He gained residency in Iowa and was able to do some bowhunting for himself as well. He spent a lot of time behind the camera throughout the season and had the chance to film Bill Winke kill a big buck along with his roommate and fellow intern, Alex Rewa. You can watch both of these videos on youtube. The Links are attached below!

You are still young. Sometimes shit goes sideways. At the end of the day, you recovered a respectable deer. Learn from it but take the positives as well. It’s what hunting is all about. Well done.
Thanks I appreciate that a lot👊
Been bowhunting for nearly 60yrs, have had more than a few hunts turn out that way brother. That's bowhunting i guess 😂. Nice buck too.👍
True, bowhunting is a challenging sport!
Good video man! y'all keep it up. Awesome narration, gave me all the info and some jokes. And as far as the studs go, me and Carter are back here in West Virginia😂
Thanks! We need to come back down and hunt with you guys again! We missed that this fall 🥲
You’re better than me, I woulda plugged the second one too
It’s unfortunate that a landowner has such a small-minded attitude to deny a hunter permission to recover a mortally wounded animal and instead chose to let the animal go to waste. As a young man, take a lesson from him, never treat your neighbors or hunters that way. Nobody can always control the circumstances of the hunt. Don’t be a jerk. Great hunt. Great learning experience. Keep having fun!
Thanks for your encouragement!!
Still a nice buck,memories of a lifetime❤🦌🎯💯
Thank you!! Lots of great memories made for sure
Man!! Still an awesome deer! and awesome video! Congrats!
Thank you!!
Bad deal dude but Iowa law is : A Hunter can cross property lines to recover your animal as long as you don't take a weapon with you. Don't need landowners permission but is normally a positive experience with most landowners and I usually do notify landowners also. But if they say no, I'll use the Iowa game recovery law to go get it. Good video though and keep up the good work!!!
Thank you
Great job on a good buck!!
Did you notice the entry/exit wound on that buck at 7:43???
1; more arrows in is always better. Great job getting off that 2nd shot
2; Iowa people seem like jerks. That neighbor should have granted you access
We did the best of our ability but yes it was unfortunate we weren’t able to recover the deer before it was spoiled 😔
Y’all ever come back to wv holler at me I’m in Wyoming county plenty of bucks to chase after
Hey that would be fun!! Shoot me a dm and we should talk sometime man
@@tagemoutdoors405 what’s your cell or fb I’ll give you a holler
In Iowa you 100% have the right to go retrieve that deer on someone else’s property.
2 gut shots ! Your bow is shooting far right very bad
So he won't let you look for your deer then finds it 2 days later and says you can come get it.. what a POS
Sadly yes.
in iowa, you do not need the landowners permission to look for your deer
