    I just did this last week and all I can say is it was definitely worth it for me.
    If you are a Star Wars fan and always wanted to build a lightsaber, you should take advantage of this awesome experience.

      So I want to say it was $217-$220 after tax. But those kyber crystals were I believe $16-$17 a peice.

    I’m going to Disney in May with my boyfriend and we’re going to do this. We’re doing it for the star wars experience rather than the actual light saber, so I’m glad you came out with this video because we were scared it wasn’t going to be worth it for the price. Are the light sabers heavy or do they feel like store bought ones? Also, is it mainly for children or is it an experience that we can appreciate as well?

    • @TheCampbellChronicles
      @TheCampbellChronicles  3 роки тому +1

      It truly is an experience that anyone can enjoy. Especially Star Wars fans. The light saber quality is actually amazing. I was taken back how good the quality turned out to be. Not disappointed after spending $200. The show, the experience, all of it, got me right in the feels.

    DISCLAIMER: I just got mine. He didn't really elaborate on the quality. I say just save your money for a top-market 600 dollar one. The Saber ignites in segments quickly, it is NOT a seamless ignition, and the waving doesn't register to the Saber sometimes, it's extremely dim (very very disappointing), and lastly there's a bad delay on tapping things and half the time it can't tell you're hitting anything. The experience was pretty cool. I'll shout that from the rooftops. The experience was, well, quite an experience, but the product is just shit.

      I just did one. Really my son just built one two days ago. We’ve gone several times to Disneyland and gotten a few legacy lightsaber. He’s never gotten to build one. So we’ve went to Disney Hollywood Studios and built one their. The build experience was far worth it, just seeing my Kid’s expression. However, the your description on quality is spot on. Maybe I’m a bit OCD but the parts don’t really align perfectly with parts put together. Although they screw and lock tightly together. The internal chassis and the decorative external pieces flex/wiggle at the joints. Just doesn’t feel solid when saying it around. Another thing thing to note, these things are heavy once put all together. Much more than any of the legacy sabers we own. Like mention above, the ignition isn’t seamless nor does it register all impacts. Our sabers spend more time as display pieces rather than in use, so no big deal to use.
      Another thing to note, they raised the price. It used to be be $219.99 for most legacy sabers / build experience 6 months ago, but now it’s $249.99. Also, for the price I wished they gave the option of choosing the blade length. For my kid, I like him to have the 26” , so it’s easier to stuff in the luggage.

    The only thing that makes me _not_ want to get one is the price. It's kinda hard to spend 200 bucks when you're a teen with no job

    Quality wise ? probably not. You can get more durable sabers from other companies but the experience of building it even though its a short presentation was worth it to me.

  • @iriebuddha

    i wanna do it for the experience of the work shop, but the quality of the sabers seem very sub par compared to companies that u can find online.

  • @jeremydrew1227
    @jeremydrew1227 Рік тому

    I'll be frank. Disney sabers are garbage. They still use two decades old tech that Master Replicas developed in 2002. Disney made no major improvements other then the removable rgb blades. The custom saber community has gone leaps and bounds forward with the same tech and offer much higher quality playback and overall experience. There are many options priced at or just above Disney sabers if one isn't inclined to spend more on the really good sabers. With the existence of these sabers Disney saber are simply not worth anyone's time.
    However from what I seen the Savi's experience does look really nice. I would go just for that and sell the saber.

    Im a big starwars fan and am relly interested in the experance but i can’t justify 200$ when I can get one from imperial workshop that’s neopixl and smooth swing and all that good stuff yes it’s not fullly custom and it’s not the full experience but I’d rather have a crazy realistic Luke hilt with 15 fonts I think maybe more and quick color changeing for 275 they do have one that shows the crystal and has a light that changes with the blade that looks relly cool and it being full metal yah you don’t get to see the kyber crystal and get the full experience of the workshop but that’s just my opinion

      The lightsaber build does not include the price of admission to Disneyland or Hollywood Studios in Disney World. Sense I made this video prices have gone up sense then. It is now $219.99 at Disneyland and $249.99 ant Disneys Hollywood Studio’s in Florida. It includes your choice of one of the four factions and a carrying case (if they have the cases in stock).

    • @TheCampbellChronicles
      @TheCampbellChronicles  Рік тому +1

      Great question. They always have enough of the color that you want when you first build. (Blue red green and purple) If you don’t see it right away just ask one of the cast members and they can help you out. With the exception of white black and yellow. They only sell those colors separately.

      6 year olds? 💯 durable. As long as they are slamming them on hard furniture and what not. They should hold up just fine. That being said, when we “dual” with them we do slow-Mo duals just to save fingers and blades from breaking. 😆

      Getting it home is pretty easy. It’ll count as a personal item on a plane. As long as they have them in stock it comes with a carrying case.
      The blade itself is made of a color changing led strip surrounded by a very sturdy plastic. This allows an epic saber battle!!

    • @TheCampbellChronicles
      @TheCampbellChronicles  2 роки тому

      You need to book this as soon as possible. I booked mine 60 days in advance. If not then do it as soon as you know you you want to. You might get lucky and find some a couple weeks in advance but it is pretty rare to find any the day of. This is also contingent on the time of year you go and how busy the parks are the days you plan on visiting. This is why you should book the 60 days in advance.

    Fun fact for star wars fans: Yellow sabers most typically were wielded by sith Dread Masters, and are seen as a more inferior crystal to the typical Red, Green, and Blue ones. The purple crystal is seen as stronger than the 4 mentioned. Then the white one, which I don't believe is cannon, is most closely related to the translucent-bladed Ghostfire Crystal, which if I'm not mistaken creates THE most powerful lightsabers in existence.
