Whooo-eeeeee! I love Beth Hart. I listen to her and Joe Bonamassa every day actually. Beth Hart singing I'd Rather Go Blind-Love In Amsterdam is incredible. Joe Bonamassa is there to and he is just unbelievable. Thank You Thank You!
She is my favorite female blues singer hands down. A little background on her that may raise an eyebrow: Beth won best female vocalist on the national talent show Star Search in 1993. Star Search was a predecessor to the more modern reality shows like American Idol but probably more comparable to America's Got Talent. On Star Search she nailed heavy weight classics like A Little Piece of My Heart, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Whole Lotta Love. I loved her from day one. Mama is a single from her second CD Screaming for my Supper and is one of my favorite songs of hers, but this video does it no justice. If you really want to enjoy the texture of this song you have to listen to the studio version. If you do take a listen to this version, notice how the song builds from beginning to end. A couple other key songs, in my humble opinion, would be; Immortal, Am I the One, and her Sam Cooke cover A Change is Gonna Come but there are so many more!
Thank you for the video I knew, like almost everyone,it is one of my favorites! Ever since I listen and see Beth I am crazy about her and her bands. She has it all, anger, pain, aggression, love, sensuality, sweetness, silences that speak. Oh I don't get tired every day of listening to her!!! Love da Roma! Italy
Wow! What a voice!! I know a lot of the music on here..but I have never heard of this Artist!! Thanks for playing this..I'm seeking more of her stuff out..wow wow wow!!!
Ohhhhhhh yeeeesss....this was the best performance I have heard by Beth Hart. She has some amazing talent....best blues singer today hands down...goosebumps
I love seeing your reaction to her the first time I saw her on UA-cam I spent the rest of the day watching her so I understand why you would want to do that but that's not her best performance close same concert different song called am I the one live at Paradiso that's the one you need to check out if you think this one was mind-blowing you another thing coming isn't she awesome I love her to death and I've met her 4 times she is very sweet and down-to-earth I'm glad you're enjoying her and hopefully she's getting new fans because of this she deserves it she's very underrated
Listening to my favorite lady in the world... She is hands down a gift from God to show us LOVE , and hoe it is done! Ran across you and loved watching your reaction to her. That was a long time ago and she was sober for years right there..She has had a life and she rights songs that will make your soul sing. And vibrato, is the hardest voice control and she does it effortlessly and perfect. So just wondering are you a fan yet? Cuz the first time I heard her I was so addicted I surfed the tube and found everything song on her for two months and that was 10 years ago and I still have to listen to her at least once a week and it’s never just a song, it turns out to be all day,..looking foward to more of your reactions. Happy Day and Bless you. pL
SHE'S THE BADDEST VOCALIST PERIOD!!!! MALE/FEMALE REGARDLESS!! * House of Sin * Change Gonna Come * Guilty * Leave the Light On * Hiding Under Water * I'am the One!!!! It goes on and freaking on!!!!! This is what you should hear on mainstream radio on a daily basis!!!!
Your reaction to Beth Hart had me in stitches laughing as that was exactly the same as i had when i first heard her on a uk radio station some years back. Scratching my head and covered in goose bumps - what a voice and what a lady. I now have ALL hers and Joe Bona’s music.
I've been following Beth for years. I LOVE her and would love to see you do more of her music. She has come a long way since she began. I can't get enough of her. Her song "Monkey Back" describes her addictions she has overcome......love it!!!! Wish you would do her song "Chocolate Jesus" which is a Tom Waits song. It's hard for me to pick a favorite becuz I love 'em all!!!!
MRM - You would really enjoy her interviews too - she has been through it. At 4 years old she sat down at the family's piano and played a Beethoven concerto - by ear. She took piano lessons then as a child but did not learn to read music, she played what she was assigned by ear. She fooled the teacher until the teacher figured it out and fired her as a student. For people self medicating, she offers inspiration in her interviews too. She has traveled some difficult roads and makes incredible music out of it.
Beth Hart is great, another great song is “I’ll be there for you”. I saw her perform about a year ago at a smaller venue that made for an intimate show. She shared so much about herself with us that night, her low points her high points and what keeps her going. It was the only I’ve left a concert emotionally drained, as she shared that much with us that night, that I am thankful for. I love how music connects us all.
Beth Hart is so underrated! Lifetime, L.A. Song, and Monkey Back are some of my favorites I'm so excited to see this, no one I've ever talked to has heard of her PLEASE do more of her, pretty please none of my friends appreciate her ever She was my first concert, it was amazing Honestly, I saw this and went and checked out the rest of your channel and subscribed
As of now, you've talked to someone else who has heard of Beth Hart. My wife and I flew from Oklahoma to see her perform at Pala Casino in California around 2004. Awesome, and probably a life changing event to see Beth and the band from the second row of a relatively small venue.
That's awesome! I'm from Nashville and so I got to see her preform at the Ryman. She has an amazing presence. Thank you for telling me about your concert experience, it's nice to know other people appreciate her genius! @@trollbuster9834
Woman's a treasure. Hope she takes care of her voice, quits smoking. Eventually it takes its toll on the voice. Anyway, she has power and ridiculous talent. Thanks for sharing this.
Welcome to the wonderful talent thats Beth Hart. Been listening to her since her first album. Listen to her other music. This song is from her first album
Ty- FYI- this is the gal who did the song with Joe Bonamassa " I will take care of you" you listened to months ago and had chills. Joe is a amazing singer and blues guitarist...any time you want to play either of them or together non stop - fine with me..I agree--- she is the best of the best.joe is also.....
Hey, Ty. My reaction to your reaction is always a smile. My wife's father died last week, and the funeral is tomorrow. I know you like songs of inspiration, and our go-to song at times like these is "The Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics. Beth Hart sang about Mama; "The Living Years" is one about Papa.
You should check out Chris Ledoux- This cowboys hat..Chris was a western singer not country. He was a world champion bareback rider turned western singer. Mostly singing about being a cowboy. Lots of good stuff. He helped Garth Brooks get his start.
Just when you think she just shredded her vocal chords screaming, she settles down to an angels whisper and has the tightest control over the lightest tones.
Beth was on Star Search in 1993. As a singer, she has it ALL. But she also has the most severe form of BiPolar. (www.bethhart.com/beth-hart-surviving-to-sing/), She ended up being committed for a while. Her record label reportedly dropped her for drug use (and possibly instability). She is more balanced now and Joe Bonamassa has done tours and albums with her. My hope is that she can remain balanced in the medical sense. She IS the Queen of Soul. I just hope she can freely put that crown on her head. I ask that God bless her, for her singing blesses me. Amen.
When time comes for Christmas music, the two best versions of the two best Christmas songs (in my opinion) Mark Lowery/Voctave-Mary did you know, and David Phelps- O Holy Night Live.
Beth Hart has been killin it for a long time. Her first album Immortal (released in '96 I think) is pretty dang good. Screaming For My Supper is another great album as is Leave The Light On. Dude, you can't go wrong with any Beth Hart. She is one talented woman and I believe she has cleaned her act up as well.
Welcome to Beth Hart fandom :D That performance is from her wild years and that vibrato is also not that wild no more. You won't see her like that again, 'cause she's drug clear for years and that's why her career blossomed. Joe Bonamassa pretty much helped her too, by calling her to perform with him.

Hey Ty, Please give a listen to Joey+Rory - When I'm Gone. It's a beautiful song by a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. Joey and Rory Feek are a married couple. Unfortunately Joey passed away from cancer a couple of years ago. This song was kind of a way of Joey preparing her family and in a way her fans for her death.
The vibrato is natural and unforced. Not sure if this is before she got clean or after. She was a phenom a decade or so ago and disappeared for a while. She IS Remarkable. She has a remarkable journey and if you're interested, she put it out there as part of her healing. be blessed IJN.
Prince wrote a lot of great songs... He had one called "they will be done" you would like I think. He sang it but also a woman recorded it ,cant remember her name though...her version was great

Conversed with her for a couple of minutes several years ago in the outside area (smoking permitted area) of a Lewisville, Texas hotel. Nice lady. She said she was limiting herself to a couple of cigarettes a day. Saw her in the fitness room later on that day, but didn't go in. Didn't want to be a fan who disrupted her workout.
That is awesome. I was at all 3 shows she did at Hat Tricks in Lewisville. I was thrilled when I got to play there later and stand on the same stage. She is amazing.

I agree with you, this is the best female performance I’ve ever seen and I’m 73!

Beth Hart is great...my favorite songs are Caught Out In The Rain and I'd Rather Go Blind.
Dude you just hit the jackpot! When talking about rock blues, Beth Hart live at Paradiso might be the best concert ever.
