Ennio`s music influeced a lot of different music genres. He advanced the limits of music. If someone one know more, you can watch the documentation about Ennio Morricone. I would say he was at the same level of talent as Mozart, Beethoven, Puccini etc. Humanity will have to wait a long time to get another talent like that.

The Metallica's intro is called "The ecstasy of gold" and is from another wester movie "The good, the bad and the ugly". The video is a medley of Morricone's pieces and I think is from the live concert held in Venice (but not sure).

I have always thought metal and rock are so much closer to opera and these sweeping orchestral and choral movements, than say either to pop. (Whatever the hell pop is) And live . . . They can utterly transport you with performance and energy. Like many arias a lack of common tongue is no barrier to connection, very true of Maneskin.
