J'adore le granito, je sais, c'est con , ça me rappelle mon enfance, mes grands parents, et puis j'adore toutes ces matières, toutes ces couleurs... le papa de mes enfants est carreleur, j'ai toujours vu son métier comme quelque chose d' artistique , je trouve si triste qu'on ne réalise pas l'œuvre exceptionnelle de tout ces artisans et de tout les créateurs fabricants...
I love terrazzo tile SO MUCH!! But they are very thick and I can't figure out how to lay them without raising the floor so high the doors won't open. I'm in the US with a raised foundation, so I have plywood sheets for a subfloor. If I get the thinnest plywood, I don't think it is strong enough to support the weight. Any ideas, UA-cam?

Thinner tile, or trim to fit.. that includes the walls, baseboard, doors.. etc
Trim the bottom of your doors or install shorter ones? I’m not sure it sounds tricky
I'm thinking of moving the door hinges up higher, or as everyone says, trim the door. Btw they have 16 mm terrazzo tiles which are vry thin

The process is quite similar, with hydraulic cement as a base. With Terrazzo, we recycle bits of marble glass that are bigger and create a bigger impact to the eye. With granito, we recycle tiny pieces of marble and stone so the pattern looks more even and smoother 🥰

I grew up with terrazzo, used to follow the craftsmen till the work was done. Today the floors are still in good condition, this is after approximately 50yrardsprpx
