- This is me playing Thunderstruck at my school school's talent show. I know its not perfect, haven't been playing guitar long and it's kind of sloppy at parts, but I'm getting better! Hope you enjoy!

If we’re being honest what he did was not impressive at all. Someone starting from scratch with no background in music could probably learn that in a matter of days and get up to proper speed in a week or 2. Thunderstruck is not hard AT ALL to learn the riff of and he made about 10 mistakes in the first minute alone. It was pretty sloppy

To all the people getting mad at the crowd, do try to remember that most of them have probably never even heard of AC/DC before, much less know this song. Yes, this kid did a fantastic job, and nailed a tricky song to play, and yes it sucks to hear no one yelling thunder, but that’s more of a result of the current popularity of different music types

@@xPayBakx rap and rock are two different unique styles but both hype you up and one is not necessarily better than the other, rock is more classic, respected, has a sound like nothing else, and is generally liked by older people more because of their generation growing up with that and rap is more appealing to younger people, but it is hype and there are a lot of really good rap songs that send a message well and are put together well and take talent.

Thunderstruck is more an impressive feat of stamina then skill because the song it's self is very simple on guitar but it kills your forearms.

Yeah the tapping section is surprisingly easy , I learned it around the same age, but does definitely start to hurt after a while. That said when I learned it I loved it so much I'd play it all day much to the consternation of my parents lol

I love when he messes up because that shows how raw and earnest this is. He's not some pro, been playing since 2 years old, he's just dedicated, practiced a lot and wanted to showcase his progress. Hell yeah brotherman.

@@moss5510 Of course, no doubt. Its just something to work on, particularly if you want to pursue being a performer. Those that come alive onstage are always more notable even if they don't play as well as the guy who stands still through his whole set.
When I was fifteen I was still struggling with barre chords, let alone tackling solos. Also, I was seventeen before I took to a stage. I had to play "Hit the City" by Lanegan and PJ Harvey, which consists of 3 chords. I was terrified about fucking up.
I'm now a professional musician, so keep it up dude. And forget anyone trying to down-play you. They're never worth a second thought.
