i've been addicted to that "rattling" sound when you pull up the knee ever since i heard madjid khaladj play with hossein alizadeh on "saz-e no" (iranian music). fantastic album, by the way...

It looks to me that he’s playing one of the larger sized Remo ocean drums. I have looked up and compared the image on the skin to that online of other Remo ocean drums. Hope this helps.
