- Sue's pet emu, Emee, was a lone hatch and has a purpose built pen at the end of the room for when her owner isn't home. The rest of the time though, she is treated as one of the family! This video shows her and a very welcoming pet dog named Molly playing together.

God, she is so cute. She looked so happy to see the dog come into the room; she got all excited and wanted to play. I loved her roll over maneuver.

This is the first time I've seen a bird get so excited it rolls over. I love emus. I think I want to get a large enclosure some day and adopt at least two of them.
They are amazing animals if you raise them from chicks. Not the smartest birds, but they're pretty hardy. And they keep that goofy energy all the way into adulthood.

I’ve seen them mostly being very aggressive and endlessly trying to attack the caretakers (& these were rescue farms where it’s hand on] 2 of the farms I watch shields cuz when they get big they can be really dangerous and seriously injure a person! That’s the main reason I wouldn’t …..way too much hissing & aggression.

What’s funny is you can see him kinda miming/attempting to use his claws. It’s like he remembers having longer arms.
