Im so glad I was born in 82 and got to be one of the last generations to grow up without social media.
Kevin tbh I wud just leave it alone. If it’s out. His parents will find out. My granddaughter is biracial, half black, half caucasian. It’s a slippery slope! All you can do is teach your child to be different and that it’s not okay. Our children are our future. And we’ve got to get it right!!

Wow! I recently took a job as a school cafeteria aide and I have heard the “n” word but I told this child I never want to hear that again! Also 5th graders are sharing Asian slurs at recess, my good friend from Singapore who works there told me this. I tried to comfort her and I will work to stop it! ❤

I grew up in a small town in corryton Tennessee and they used the n word before and they are grown now and ashamed of using it and are thankful they had my mother to tell them that shit was wrong bc we came from michigan to this small town.

My son and daughter are 24 and 22 now. They did not get phones till 14 and 12 years old and I wud limit their data usage plus parental patrols. They got 1 Gb a month(I eventually upped the oldest to 2 Gb cuz he was older) but my daughter wud run through her 1 little gigga byte in just one day 🤣 but there was no way in hell I was going to let them continuously surf the internet looking at god knows what. And now they have both thanked me for being so proactive and not just let it consume them. We’ve got to PROTECT our kiddos!!

Hes right. A generation ago it would have been true.
Used to be that word was in the dictionary and the definition was "a low class citizen". I don't know or think it's in there anymore. Biut that is the definition of that word. As for what it means in society now is different from what it means back in the 60s. The point is not letting them have anything that would teach them to be disrespectful or anything else that would hurt others or insult others. My parents monitored everything I watched or was involved in. So parents need to get involved in everything. My idea is to only give them what is needed. And set the example.

when I was younger it used to be the Television,,, and we used to call it the "Unpaid Babysitter!"!!
Because, this was a similar problem with it,
especially during the 1960/1970s when Racism and Bigotry of all kinds could be Disguised as "Comedy" or " Drama"!!
Now, Social Media seems to have taken over this role,
~and, if we just sit back and allow that Cr@p into our homes and children's minds,,,
Well, we shall reap what we have sown,
or shamefully have allowed other people to sow!!
The Negative Emotive words, phrases and attitudes should be explained by the parents / guardians of children,
,in order for them to make informed and hopefully wise decisions,
that are going to impact their quality of life....
As well as the quality of life of those around them!!
Some people think they are doing a great job with the amount of money they spend on their children,,,
sadly.
Because,,
~What truly matters is the quality Time spent together...
This includes making sure that you are aware of what they're "Consuming" from the Social Media,
no need to be sneaky about this folks,,,
tell your children what you are doing and why,,
~in age appropriate language and if you really do talk
and listen to your children,, they'll understand!!

You are so correct I have a grandson who is half Spanish and half white and he still says the n-word constantly and I know he gets it from social media and I have been working with him to try to get him to stop saying it but I know social media is where he is getting it and unfortunately he lives in a boy's home because he was taken away from his mother by the state and living where he does does not help him at all because all of those boys say it and all of them are on social media all the time so in both situations he gets the effects and the influence of social media constantly so now I am battling both but thank you so much for your video

IMO- The problem is that children are being given smart phones before they have the maturity and intelligence to understand and emotionally handle what they are exposed to.
I know 3 young girls between 11-13 that do not know each other that have attempted suicide more than once in the last 3 months.
